He mastered his own downfall, I know it is not very adult of me but I am glad he is now a fat has been.

They maybe achieved more in the game in there careers, but buy the 2005 and 2006 DVD and come back and say the players I mentioned had a bigger influence, because the didn't, if people want to stick there fingers in there ears and pretend just because he turned out a scumbag that's fine, but look at our inability to get the ball out wide 3 years after he left, we still can't the way we did with Cooke.

I find a lot of the stuff on here about Cooke a little beyond the pale. Ultimately he was a player who was very good for us who signed for them in poor circumstances. Most of us don't know him, but choose the treat every smear about him as gospel and another thing to have a go at him for. During his time at Rovers I saw him get "Judas" shouted at him by ladies of pensionable age in the sauna at the gym, he just smiled and laughed. I just think some of our fans take things too far.
Yes, enjoy the schadenfreude of him being clubless and with little prospects going forward but is there really any need to wish another human being serious problems and harm as some on this thread have? I, for one, hope he sorts himself out.

I couldn't care less what happens to him... I'm not threatening anything, i'm not wishing anything bad to happen to him, i just don't care!!

He can rot for me. The only people i feel sorry for are his daughter (and future child), and the women he 'alledgedly' had altercations with!!

Very easy for him to do - Aaron T Kay, been touring Whalebone, Vauxhall Tavern etc with his jumpsuit and side-burns for years AFAIK.

He was great for us, but then, as he'd been with Hull since he was 16, he knew every player's game inside out and knew exactly where they were going to be to run onto a wide pass at pace. His passing ability is right up there with many of the best creative players I've seen at Hull.

His leaving ripped the direction out of our team and for so many players, their form disappeared as, while he was here, he made them perform out of their skin, which few seem to have done since.

He was never going to be the same player at Rovers, perhaps their desire to get one over Hull FC blinded Morgan, Hudgell and co to that fact and they handed him what might have been a financially suicidal three year contract, but for their willingness to continually lose large amounts of money down Preston Road way.

Where he is now is down to choices only he has made.

He should be thankful for people in the past who have helped him with his personal issues. Without them, there's a good chance that he may not have even be able to walk the streets these days.

It's the off season, things get a bit more relaxed at this time of year.
