| Just how good were Watts, Mini, Taylor and Ellis? Thommo also made some punishing runs.

| Time to end this positivity,it was alarming that we conceded 66.6% of their tries on our left side.Somebody needs to be dropped.

| Only just finished watching the game (and somehow I managed to avoid the result until the kids went to bed tonight....
Result ... Gobsmacked!
We made St's look ordinary ...
We played better
We Out-enthused them
We Didn't give away daft penalties (well only one...)
We Didn't tire..
Big well done to Radders and the boys.. fan-bloody-tastic!!!
Especially after sitting through the usual BBC - St's-r-ace pre match ....
So bloody happy not sure I can possibly go to bed now!!

| Great performance yesterday and more so in that heat. It was hot enough in the stand never mind playing 80 minutes on the field so massive raps to the forwards especially. Sneyd and houghton were sublime on the back of our forward dominance. For me the key factor was ball retention and discipline were the main factors allowing us to completely dominate their forwards and in the end they were lucky we didn't score another 2 or 3 tries.
If we complete our sets and don't give away stupid penalties then we won;t lose many games between now and the nd of the season.
Fans were great yesterday too apart from the odd idiot

| Thought Silverwood had a decent game, not too many penalties. Hoped our conditioning, which has stood us in good stead generally this year would see us home if the game was tight going into the last quarter. Fortunately the game was already put to bed by then.

| As well as size and power our big lads have got some seriously good footwork (or waddles) at the line. It's not all pure power and that footwork is massive in getting us the quick ptbs we saw yesterday.

| Fitness levels does seem to have come onmleaps and bounds, introducing Green, Hadley and Thompson adds a lot of mobility, Thompson took it up quite a lot during his spells which is great for the mainstay forwards.
Minichello though is just a beast.
We did however get lucky on a couple of kicks were we let them bounce, can never understand why you would want to do that. I know there's a risk of getting clattered but the vagaries of where the ball will bounce means we should be catching it at all costs.

To be fair I think frim ground seems to suit the way we are now playing as even with a big pack its still mobile and Taylor, Watts & Bowden can move their feet and are not just plodders. Then with the likes of Ellis, Pritchard, Mini, Manu added in its never ending for the opposition.
Although 1-17 played well thought Minichello for me was immense at St's, both him and Ellis are just relentless.

| I personally think Minichello is more invaluable than Ellis, Ellis is a great leader but Mini does everything he does and a little bit more.
Admittedly he does miss a few more tackles but like yesterday he was first one to the saints player catching the bomb, would love to have seen him level the winger but mistimed it

I disagree totally. We are noticeably a different team when Ellis is off the field, even yesterday 2 tries were scored during his short spell on the sidelines.

| Both fantastic players, great to have such strenght in the pack, many fans including me though we might have the balance of our squad wrong, but the strenght in the pack is the reason for our success.

Ah I see.
In any event from when he left you to now he is total rubbish; whether his confidence is shattered or whether its from being messed about by Cunningham who became convinced -regardless of the ongoing lack of evidence to support this - that Turner was somehow going to be a star no 6.
Having said that I'd have given him a run out on the wing in place of the even more useless Owens.
Thought you guys were excellent and hope you beat the Cats and go on to win it.

| Yet Saints fans saying he's better than Owen and due to him being played in 5 differing positions (this season?) has an affect. Bulked up to play LF so lost some of his pace.
No game changer for sure but he was more than alright for us.

That was the point that I and a few others were making about Turner and you argued against it, he is an alright player that is it, would he improve us now, not in my opinion.

When you say "size and power' Staffs........not sure if you've heard it ? but when Scotty T scores his second try, if you listen closely on BBC iplayer at 2:02:40s you can hear him give out a "rebel yell" as he summons up all his power to overcome Kyle Amor and put him on his back. Gave me goosebumps when I heard it. Imagine trying to stop that kind of power and determination, he sounded like a wild man. That kid wants it so bad.
