Heard it all before, we've done enough talking in the pre season to only fall flat on our s. When O Meley is writing headlines from the pitch then I'll be impressed.

He did pretty much everytime he played for us just a shame it wasnt that many, if he had a better injury record he would still be a top scrum half in Australia, was a class act.

Notice the players people are quoting are backs and not forwards.

We might have won the CC too. We desperately needed a scrum half that day.

As we did whenever he didn't play that season and all of last season when we didn't have one in the squad.

And he desperately wanted to play even with his shafted leg.

Dykes was the missing piece we needed that season, no doubt. When he played we mostly won. His frailty was a tragedy both for himself and Hull. It's a shame his efforts for us weren't reflected in some of the feedback from some sections of the fanbase.

Agree 100%, he and his family were very disappointed to leave, and I will be forever ashamed of the way FC dealt with him.

He was a superb player when fit, but unfortunately, we cannot play with 12 players and no playmaker. He had to be cut loose. No-one moaned when Chester or Eagar were released and they were regulars to the physio.

They got a bit more notice and support than Dykes though.

I don't think there was anything wrong, he was simply released because the club felt he carried too many injuries. Saying that, even with a biscuit body, he still put it on the line and still put some good hits in.

He was a very good player but spent too much time injured to justify his salary and a quota spot. Sorry but there's no room for sentiment in these situations.

Oh I don't disagree with the decision, just how it was handled, I'm not going into it as Adam himself said it was "water under the bridge" when I last spoke to him, it seems we were kinder to Byrne/Motu etc. (even King), a lesson learnt.

Wouldn't disagree with that. What about Sid Domic? I always thought he was bundled out of the building a bit sharpish.

Just because a handful of nuggets actually thought we were in with a chance doesn't mean that every single FC fan thought so.

Also they is a difference in the terms "one of the best packs in the league" and "the best pack in the league".

I agree, i would love to have another player like Sid Domic i think he has been greatly missed and was never truly replaced.

Thought he was gunna do some pomme bashing.He started well but just keeps getting smashed now.

He's always been an impact sub in Oz. Dont think Agar knows how to use him.
