Kelly and Shaul should be the two players to really benefit and able to hit the gaps with their pace.
Connor is not a running half as he doesnt have the pace.
His skills are better used as a centre where he can use his ball handling skills and get on the end of Sneyds kicks to the corner

Connor has proved in a few games in the last 3 years he can play at stand off, no halfback would have played well with our poor pack the 2nd half of the season, in fact Sneyd was as bad if not worst and got no where near the flack Connor did.

I'd personally rather have Kelly at 6 and Connor at centre, but Radford has chosen him there, so let's wait see how he gets on in this new side. You are too quick to write players off, which has been proven in the past.

I can only think (and hope) that because of the weather and the pitch we are going to adopt a very simple safety first game plan today. So he has favoured Connor because he is a better game manager than Kelly, and Kelly isn't on the bench because Radford wants 4 big guys on the bench. When conditions improve we will see Connor and Kelly both involved.

If that is the case then whilst I still don't really agree with it I can at least see the logic.

Kelly was poorly early in the week according to UTC. If he's missed a bit of training then it makes sense not to risk him, especially when Radders has so many fit, quality players to pick from.

As I said earlier all our halves should benefit from our new energy, the decision who plays there is Radders, which ever combination he chooses they will be playing for Hull that’ll do for me, wishing the team well on this exciting day.

I agree with this, I think Radford has gone for a team to do a specific job, typical arm wrestling style for want of a better phrase. We'll play Kelly and be more expansive when the time and conditions allow.

I think when the Coach puts out a statement saying how tough it is for him to name a 17 and that guys will be left out but its important those guys keep a good attitude and togtherness, then a few days later ones sulking as he d of been coming off the bench, he really isnt doing himself any favours is he
