Poor tonight but entirely predictable. We were always going to suffer a comedown after the emotions of winning the semi final and Cas are exactly the sort of side you didn't want to be playing. They were very good tonight.

Still, we have got a poor performance out of our system and hopefully we will bounce back next week. Still top for another week at least.

Yeh, hes been good everygame hes played this season apart from tonight, hadley aint, hence hadley doesnt get picked in front of him. He might next week after tonight, which is fair enough. Think people forget, thompson is still only 24, playing along side the best 2nd rowers in super league, he can only get better imo

The whole within 10m of the catcher thing annoys me sometimes. Carlos didn't really seem to be interfering with the player catching the ball. I do wonder how you are supposed to score from those occasionally and I understand why usually teams won't contest the ball and just hammer the catching player, there seem to be a thousand things stopping you scoring.

It's a fair point, but no matter what now it has to to Carlos and Sneyd in the halfs.

I thought Abdul showed some good touches on the last 20, but boy does he need to get fit, his effort on Dorn was terrible, although there were plenty of others whose tacking was poor.

Yeah these things can be marginal, although in fairness having Carlos right on top of him could easily have contributed to the Cas player fumbling the catch.

When it's not your night the little things go against you...

Abdull's tackling is actually pretty solid - when he reaches the player. Far too often he just gets run around or straight past as he has the turning circle of an oil tanker and no acceleration.

Don't agree, good first season, OK the last two seasons with the odd performance, quick feet which had worked the odd time near the line, but weak when coming out of own half, missing too many tackles and his handling is poor.

Needs to lose some weight then this wouldn't happen. Great talent but potential to throw it all away if he doesn't sort out his weight.

regarding abdull he was blowing out his arris after 10 min but to be fair to the kid he had a good second half , if he could just get fit he might be a good player, all across the board we where poor, I half expected it and to be fair it must have taken a lot of juice out of the tank last week, defo think Hadley derserves a run out and offers more than Thompson atm, and think taylor could do with a rest if watts is fit, big game against widnes coming up and on the flip side we still top of the league

Cas fan here, think fatigue after the semi must have come into it but I was a bit surprised how easily we seemed to keep your forwards quiet.
I am one of Sneyds biggest fans but I was surprised how negative his kicking game was at the start of the 2nd half. It was as if you were 20 points up and he was trying to close the game out rather than trying attacking kicks.
Finally do you have any alternative to Yeamo? the only time he looks interested now is if he has a chance of scoring.

Jordan Abdul is basically a poor man's jamie ellis and that is not good in any way shape or form. Also, Jordan thompson, weak link. That said , good luck for the rest of the season and Wembley.

Well beaten offensively in the first half and it was far to much a lead to claw back . I thought our forwards were well beaten .

Cas were great and Powell had a cracking game plan which they stuck too, fair play to them. The two week break will have helped too. We'll bounce back.

Abdull should not be 6 ahead of Leon or Carlos and last night and Salford away proved that he's too big and his defence is poor. He's a good third choice 6

It would be great to have a top stand off next year, but it isn't happening.

We seem to have managed fine this year with the stand offs we have used, top and a cup final and we look stronger next year as a squad.

People who are surprised he was in, obviously don't watch the reserves, has been outstanding and deserves his chance, otherwise there is no point in having a reserve team.

Need to get him signed up on a long term deal, so much class.

Not really its obvious if you have a brain, great potential and deserved his chance, but hasn't taken it and let's himself down with his weight, I'd still sign him up but he ready needs to work hard on his weight.

This all smacks of the Widnes debacle. The team as a whole were poor, Houghton and Ellis bumped off in tackles, unbelievable, this season but Abdul gets put through the wringer. Maybe I'm wrong but the KID has a huge frame, so has body to suit, if the club thought he was overwieght they would be taking steps. I don't see this happening? I hope the same knee jerk reaction from the management doesn' happen. Where do all these stories about burgers etc. come from. Some so called fans should be ashamed of themselves.
