I would be happy for the club to announce more signings from the under 19's who they have spent time and money nurturing rather than players from Championship clubs. Unless the RFL bring back the under 21/23's some of these players could be lost from the game altogether

Hang on, before we go down this route., just a couple of things.

Pearson and Gentle have always said that there had been a shortage of quality coming from our 20's over the last few years due to poor investment, and that we'd need to sign players to fill those gaps. When you look at most clubs, and in particular the better clubs, they have at least 10-12 in the 20-25 age bracket that have come through their youth systems in their top 25-30 players, we have nowhere near this. So these signings, like the Jason Crookes, Joe Arundel, Jay Pitts (to a lesser extent) etc. are to make up the extra places.

They're not intended to be instead of or replacing the likes of Green, Kent, Bowden & Hadley, they're to compliment them.

Listening to the interviews and having ones own opinion are two completely different things.

Now that the league is dropping to 12 and two teams will be getting relegated at the end of next season,our recruitment is now more important than ever.No team will be able to rely on mediocre signings and its going to make finding the right players even more difficult.

Well on reported signings it seems you are not replacing internationals with quality replacements, the likes of Thomson(Cas) and Barlow(Fax) are likely to be average at very best!

Yeah i no. Your right to have an opinion but when people say there's a gap between our current crop and our youngsters, AP and PG have already said that and are trying to fill it.

The 2 kids where supposedly signing. Yes there not world beaters or internationals, but they are young and if PG thinks he can build them up then that's fine by me.

From what ive heard mate Paea is trying to back out of the contract and sign for kr , when you sign a contract you have 27 days to void it if you want to , dont know if its true but im sure someone will know the rules on this ?
