Fantastic game, but sadly it showed just how far behind we are, although Friday's game was end-to-end and entertaining, the pace and physicality was nowhere near as intense as tonights game.

Were do wigan get these kids from year after year .

I agree to a point - however we beat Wire at their place this year so they don't play like they did last night every week either. Does that mean they're a long way off ?

I think we can play at an intensity equivalent to last night's game as a one off or on occasion. However if we [uconsistently[/u played at a level say half way between what we did at Cas and what we did against Leeds/Wire we would beat the majority of teams below us home and away. I don't think any team plays at last night's level every week but the top 4 have the ability to raise themselves above the opposition's effort on most occasions. We can't do that at the moment.

Teams like Wire and Wigan know how and when to turn it on, Leeds even more so. They will get beat by the lesser lights, you've beat Leeds and Wire. We've beat Wire and Saints (Hudds to some extent) but in the big games it's different.

I think the league table as it stands is probably a very a good indication of where the teams are in terms of ability with the only fly in the ointment being Hudds who are probabaly more aligned with 4th.

Not saying this wont change over the next few years but currently your wins against Wire/Leeds was akin to Cas beating you, a shock result.

I agree with that, we can lift ourselves and play at a top level every now and again, but the difference with Wigan and Wire is they'll probably play in '3rd gear' this weekend and still get 2 points in the bag, whereas we seem to play well, make loads of noises about top4 to the press and then put in a limp display.

Game of the season for me last night. On a different level to a lot of what I have seen this season and Wigan can take a lot from it considering how many players they had out.

I like the Monday Nights, gives the game more exposure.

It's the best super league game I have seen for a very long time if not ever. 2 very high quality teams going at it from start to finish.

Think the Catalans game takes on significant importance as far as our SL run-in may pan out as well.
We will be at a very low ebb if we get beat Saturday.
We need a confidence injection that only a victory in France will bring about imo.
