Didnt Hull sharks take over Hull Fc as they went bust, serious question as I cannot recall how you became Hull Sharks and then back t Hull FC I seem to recall some financial issues.HKR went into administration too.

My understanding was BV was not up to scratch, McAlpines carried out 100K of improvements as they wanted to build a new stadium (yes the issue of a new stadium has been gouing that long for wakefield/Cas/Fev with the council). The lights at BV were not good enough for Sky so the televised game against Saints was put on the road at Oakwell where Wakefield beat them.

As for Pearman, he was a fraudster who came to the club he owned lots of land rather bizarrely land where the new stadium is to be built at Newmarket. He spent big what he never had and the club suffered for it going into a CVA.

No. Hull Sharks was just the name Hull played under when they were promoted to SL. Post merger the name was changed to Hull FC. And oddly enough neither Hull nor Gateshead actually went bust - although they both would have done if they hadn't merged.

As much as the future seems to be new, soulless, concrete, half empty football stadia (the all sweaters are the worst!!) and Newmarket will be many of these things, I'll miss BV on a sunny day.

Looked up reviews of the KC Stadium and saw this....'An 'ok’ stadium, but when considering that it is shared by rugby clubs as well as outside events, i was surprised at how well maintained it was…especially the pitch having seen the mess rugby matches makes of football pitches usually.

We drove past this stadium once before we realised that yes, this was the 'famous’ home of Hull, a little overwhelming really as it does look like a bit of a cardboard box stadium but decent enough.

There are pubs nearby for a pre and post match drink, but for me the best thing was getting away from the carpark quickly so we could head home!'.

As a Rovers fan I do like a visit to Wakey, mingling with the locals. Better atmosphere than most of the new stadia. IMO
