Normally when there are a number of 50/50 calls and the game is televised you watch it back and see the majority were in fact correct. However, I am absolutely convinced that we were hard done to tonight and would love to see the game back to review all the incidents. Reckon the video guys will be working all night on the evidence. A shocker.

I think he was awful for both teams but we did get slightly the worst of it.

Twice tonight he gave a scrum to the team in possesion of the ball, 1 to each team.

The first one was when we pushed a Cas player into touch. How that becomes a Cas scrum I have no idea.

The second one was when we off-loaded in the tackle and he stopped the game and gave us a scrum.

Baffling.

chase tried to offload it and dropped it. It was the linesman who gave the decision, not the ref

I have been going to fc for many a year, I also have had my bias towards fc cloud my judgement on the outcome of games. 20 minutes into the game I wondered if my bias was getting the better of me again but 80 minutes of play had my answer to that!
Castleford is a game I look forward to every year, good rugby is generally played in a good manner. Then tonight came along and I, as a lifelong rugby league fan, was left bemused by all decisions tonight.
I don't want too take anything away from cas, well done.

As I said earlier, a major problem we have in the game is speccies being clueless.

what I have noticed this season so far is that it's become faster at the play the ball , therefore the whole game's pace has become faster. We need to have video ref's at all games and seriously look at the 2 ref system here.

I must confess, as Cas fan I even thought some of the decisions were terrible, and even though it won't be much consolation I do think you got some rough calls. Really not sure what Radford did wrong to get ten minutes, surely a head high 15 mins into the game doesn't warrant ten mins in the bin, when we admittedly went high twice and stayed on the pitch- inconsistency or what...

I know Rich Agar will probably feel it in his wallet but I think that he has said what every other Super League coach has been thinking- hopefully this will get them to have a closer look at what he is doing, because he is clearly ruining potentially good games of RL. He's struck twice for Cas this year already.

Still, I thought Cas showed grit and determination to stick it out and I'm pleased with the result, but I'm sure you guys will pick up results as the year goes on. All the best for the rest of the year.

The ball didn't "come loose" the player was in the act of being tackled and he off-loaded the ball to his own player. If he was held then its penalty to Cas, if he wasn't held then its play on. Why comment on something you haven't even seen? Clueless indeed.

Radford said (on Humberside) it was for a choke hold, although he also said something along the lines of "if I wanted to put a choke hold on someone I'd back myself to do it properly" He also said that Brett Ferres (IIRC) did the same thing a few minuites later and it was let go. (or possibly a penalty).

The referee decides on whether he is held or not, thankfully that's not down to some clueless speccie.
