I think all who know Craig like him, he is a genuinely nice lad...however not rating a person as a player is not personal

Agree, Hall has had a frustrating couple of years, but there is no doubt he has talent, and he had a good game tonight.
What I can`t understand is why we bought Turner, to get rid of Hall. I live over in Lancs. and the Salford fans I talk to can`t understand why we bought him! Hall is a better footballer, he has more pace, he is capable of winning us a game with a try out of nothing, his field kicking is good, and he is a very good goalkicker. True his defence is poor, but so is Turner`s.
I`m not sure whether Hall should go or not, he could become a really good player, but I am sure that Turner will never become anything better than ordinary at Super League level.

I dont think thats very fair or accurate he doesnt let in in far more than he scores not by a long shot

Simply being on the team sheet would be sufficient for some on here to blame Craig Hall for any try we conceded

I have always willed him to do his best, don't want him to be a "nearly" man. I really hope he succeeds where ever he ends up. He may come back to bite us, but for Craig I think it's best, we can't keep him hanging on.

If he goes to the Darkside they will be just as forgiving as we are!

Craig can only dream of getting to that level.

If it was a choice of Hall or Turner it would be Turner for me.

Turner is already better than Hall and has the potential to improve.

For Hall, I'm afraid this is as good as it gets.

thinking on will hall come back and haunt us,yes hall's defence is shocking,but its the silly mistakes what really make us fans turn on him,,we can't question his ability with ball in hand,he is a proven try scorer,i just hope we have some good signings in the pipeline because who ever signs hall will be rubbing their hands getting a player at such a young age with pace to burn and can only improve as he gets older,should we have sent him out on loan for a year to see how he progressed,players with halls try scoring abillity don't come around too often more so at hull,and a hull lad,, would you have given hall one last chance

hes had a fair crack, and imo he hasnt got pace to burn,hes quick but not that quick,sharp from quins is a lot quicker imo

Far more debate than his perfromance or talent warrants. Good luck to him for the future, hope he does well elsewhere; he's had ample opportunities with us and it hasn't worked out.

Sorry Craig you have had you chance - I think it best for you and us that you move on - Dont go to Rovers though because it will be worse for you and your Dad to be turned on if it goes wrong. I for one will follow your progress if you go to Cas maybe.

Sharp is not as quick as Hall. Whatever anyone's qualms are with Hall, the kid has pace.

Suppose that makes the difference, being able to get closer to the player you have let through

He has pace, but he's not what you'd call blistering. I've seen him get caught a couple of times when someone like, say, Calderwood would have scored. Don't know enough about Sharp to say whether he's any quicker, but I'd be a bit disappointed if a specialist winger wasn't faster than Hall.

Not going down this road, the fact remains his defence is shocking, his decisions with ball in hand and passing have also being very questionable this season..

I wish him all the best for the future and I would like to think he could develop in these areas, (although at 22 and having all the SL experience he has had he should know by now how to tackle)...Nor do I buy into the confidence thing, he has played in front of 1000s on many occasions, people argue the problem is where we play him, like he would suddenly develop into a tackling machine if he was placed in a different area of the field..I don't think so.

It's a good debate though the Hall/Turner issue. I really haven't seen anything in Turner to really excite me and his defence is also weak. He looked like he was treading water when Atkins hauled him into touch the other night, if that'd been Hall he'd have been up in front of the firing squad.
