If Calderwood's injury isn't as bad as first feared I'd be happy to see him get another year.

He has torn the tendons in his hamstring.
As much as i rate him i don't think we can risk signing him up for next year.

As regards Calders, I always hated him, but last season he was 100% effort and enthusiasm, when all around were losing theirs. On that basis I would give him another year, but I fear he is now going to be a bit of an injury prone 50% of games player. On that basis, we'll sign him for 3 years.

As first choice winger? He's barely played at this level.

true its not as serious as the other leg but if you were waiting to see if he is fully recovered from the injury that has kept him out nearly all the season before giving him a new contract do you think rule will think he's done enough to prove he's recovered sufficiently with just 2 u20's game and 1 first team game under his belt? I'd think its too much of a risk and you will move on and sign a new winger, you can't afford to be sentimental with decent earners in the squad, they need to be on the pitch not in the stands for the season however unlucky they may have been.
