"Stats" board really brought home that for the last 2 years we had a squad of mediocrity, only one "marquee" Category A player (presume Berro) compared to 10 "Category D" players. (Players were ranked A-E in terms of salary and value, not including those with Visa issues, only those physically here).

Next year we have 4 Cat A players and we pretty much even up the spread across the 5 Categories. Agar emphasised that when injuries struck we were picking a team mainly from the D category, essentially not a Super League-capable reserve selection (no surprise there, then) but if injuries strike this season the "back-up plan" will be far stronger.

Plus Agar sees Briscoes long term future at centre!

Feel a bit sorry for Long. Was funny when Clarky said a fan had said to Long at the book signing that it was up to him to turn the club around, then someone in the audience started talking about him winning us the Challenge Cup at Wembley. No pressure then

Bit worried about the comment he might need another op on his eye though.

thought the forum was a good tonight for so many different reasons

now looking at the stats that agar showed us tonight shows how much under pressure he was with the very little players we had out injured during the season tbh

i for one am very happy with agar and well done on trying your hardest with the satrs we didnt have all season

Agar came across really well tonight and made some very good statistical points about squad formation and injuries etc.

I still think tactically he is out of his depth. I would have said that too him if we had a conversation. I didnt feel the need though to grab the mic and tell him that because in the spirit of the evening i didnt wanted to go there. (and i hope and pray he proves me wrong next season and i'll be the first to put my hand up and admit i was wrong)

Makes me laugh when the arguement comes up about saying things f2f and on the forum, at the end of the day this is a forum and people can say what they want, why should they have to back that up f2f if they dont choose to?

Doubt it tbh, he spoke about his 1,6,7,9 combos. Nothing said about 13.
I can see his point to be fair, he'd rather have a ball handler at 1 and solidify the middle. It's not the way I would do things but I can see his point.

No problem with people saying what they want. If people want to embarrass themselves by school playground name calling and such like best of luck to them. They are just to be laughed at. If people don't want to say things f2f then good luck to them again. They maybe lack conviction in their argument. Who knows and frankly who cares ?

Shaun Berrigan and professionalism dont go hand in hand. Bet he was in ecstasy when he got off that stage.
