Slater was a certainty to win it but he was deducted points for a disciplinary issue in one game which meant he lost out to Orford. That said Manly was superb last season and Orford was the driving force behind them and fully deserved to be in the top3 players of the year.
He has been accused of chocking in the big games in the past but was outstanding in the finals series last season and his kicking game was top notch. |

And Kite has another year to go on his contract so Hull would have to buy that out? and with Hull in debt over there ears there's not much chance of that happening?
