Had he made his mind up about going home earlier Hodgson would have known he had a good chance of regular first team football and would almost certainly have been offered an improved deal.

Berrigan did 3 years, he was due to do a 4th but swiftly moved on once certain tax loop holes were due to be closed.

As for Hodgson, he just wasn't very good at the time he was released. Rovers got lucky that one of our cast offs turned out alright for them.

Hodgson went because the club would not pay him a a couple of grand extra to help cover his travelling costs for training. The guy was gutted to leave at the time and I do remember having a debate on here and most people where not bothered at the time. I always thought it would come back to haunt us and it did , big time.

Not heard anything about Lineham can't imagine that happening though but Taylor will DEFFO join us but with salary cap and his Wigan contract whether it will be 2015 or 2016 is anyone's guess at present!

Lets say Lineham was a Wigan player. If it was rumoured we were signing him, everyone would be up in arms with his, frankly, poor injury record. I certainly wouldn't be happy.
