I'm well pleased to see him sign up for a further two years. Gives flexability in future contract negotiations but also keeps him signed for the next two years.

i suppose if he progresses like briscoe for example then he can negotiate an improved deal,as where if he stays on a lower scale(hall)the club have the option of a low wage payout or a release option.hopefully the former

Ive said a couple of times on here that i believe it was more Danny's choice rather than the clubs. Danny wanted to see how his role progressed and how the club progressed without committing himself long term. The club will have not asked for 2 years as way of mitigating any risks.

There's also the possibility of Agar being a factor though, I suppose. Is it coincidental that the contract runs to the same end? Maybe he's also considering who'll be in charge after that before committing himself.

Like I said last week , DH would get a deal that is spot on for both the player and the club, a lot can happen in 2 years and its a good deal for a lad who is lets be honest still learing his game !!
I think a lot of Kudos should go to Shaun for his ability to mentor DH to where he is now, SB has spent a lot of time with the lad and we are now starting to see the outcome

Has really impressed me over the last few months so I'm really pleased he has signed an extension. Must admit I wasn't convinced by his performances last season and even in the early part of this season but fair play to him he has shown a lot of improvement and deserves to get more gametime to continue that development.

I didn't think he had improved much at all in the first part of the season but since Berrigan has been out Danny has been a revelation.

Disappointed with his lack of game time tonight? With the sin binning and Berro's stint i'd have liked to have seen more of Houghton, maybe used Berro at 13 and spell Fitz.

Was a deserved sin-binning TBF, and I think it possibly spoilt his rhythm a little when he came back.

Agree about the sin-binning. I'd have liked him to have more opportunity to build on last week. We looked really dis-jointed when Berro came on too. I know he's rusty but i'd have liked to have seen him used elsewhere.
