regards our 5300 or so there yesterday and not being able to attract big crowds, we have come along way since the 90s when we were playing infront of just 100's, not many clubs can show that growth in a short time.

we have lost generations of fans during that time to the football club etc and the terrible years finishing bottom of the league and being whipping boys didnt help.

will have been a fair few newbies yesterday but after what we dished up wont return , very fickle some fans!

Indeed, just looked 5 out of SL's top 7 missed tacklers in Round 1 were from Rovers. They were "every bit as good as Leeds" though. Apart from metres gained, average gain, tackle busts, clean breaks, offloads, tries, goals and competition points. Thaler has a lot to answer for.

Back on missed tackles, SL average last year was 26.5. 19 is fairly respectable in that context. Having watched Warrington's highlights, Ratchford and their back line generally look really dangerous. We'll need to be on our game defensively to have any chance.

A friend of mine went to the Wire v Salford game along with Tommy Lee's family and he said the first half hour was ferocious intensity wise but overall Salford created as many scoring chances as wire but failed to finish them off.

63 missed is a dreadful and embarrassing stat. It's not a blip either as they've had 40 past them in the last 3 games. If we hadn't taken off half the team in the 'derby' friendly, we'd have put that many on them too.
