Hey it's not even my argument, neither with you nor Agar. I hope that he turns out to be a great coach and maybe he will. I couldn't give a toss who knows him, likes him or even dislikes him. His recruitment has been absolutely superb and, upto now, we look like a very useful team and that will do for me.

After the signings in the summer and the good start we had to the season i was just starting to have faith in agar but now todays result has just blown all that out the water, if we dont bounce back strongly next week then the few games after that cas,wigan and bradford could spell the end of agar

All I'm saying is it's the first season he's had what we can call HIS team.
I'd rather judge Agar on his performance after another half dozen games.
Also one thing I would like to see an improvement (which to me anyway is the sign of a good coach) in getting the players 'up' up for the so called lesser teams than just the so called big guns. IMO of course.

The ironic thing is I prayed we would go for Nobby

It's not so much the loss, it's the fact that we looked just like the side from last season that's got people worried. Right from the warm-up you could see that something was wrong - in fact my wife said to me that she thought we were going to lose at that point. No energy.

It is the coach who picks the team, and clearly Horney was not even fit so how can he get up for it..The book has to stop with aGAR...Now I am gutted because I want Agar to succeed and be great, but his selections are still of the mark same as last season

Point taken. However another test of his coaching abilities will be to lift the team for fridays game. Test of character and all that.

But it isn't just one defeat. It was 2 decent wins in nearly 2 years of pish poor performances and today is back to square 1 because long isn't on the pitch doing what should be done during the week on the training pitch

We tested that aspect of his capabilities last season...he failed miserably

To be honest mate if i had a bad day at work and nothing went right i could potentially kill someone so yeah i probably would get the sack, agar wants to think himself lucky to still be a super league coach after the previous two seasons.

And i dont know about you but im not preparred to sit and watch another season like the last two so if this season starts to go the same as them then i say get rid hes had enought time.

As much as this defeat hurts, it's more the reasons why we lost and what was put in place to cope without Sean Long.The issue with Agar is when he can't do plan A, does he have a plan B? This will be his third season as coach and in that time he's struggled to show he even has a plan A (apart from 5 drives and a kick) What was the gameplan to shut down Witt?. Horne and Washbrook are not creative halfbacks, so why play them together (as well as play Horne who isn't fit and not fit for purpose anymore)? As Head Coach Agar is meant to be the leader, but I've yet to see any leadership or inspiring of players when things are going wrong.

As for it the first season of being Agar's team, a coach of any calibre should be able to devise a way of overcoming a teams shortcomings to maximise it's potential.

For me before the season started I felt if we put the right team on the pitch we could beat anyone in the SL, but get it wrong and we could get beat

Today we got the selection wrong, Washbrook and Horne never worked last year why would it work now
For me Turner was brave enough to put his hand up, could have given him a go if did not work move whiting to 6 turner to centre,

Why is Sam not in the team, we have a young agressive prop who gives all we then use a player who was off this season instead who does not break tackles and is easy to bring down, we also bring in Burnet who really needs fast ground , Why not have put Sam in the pack to give more punch We have one of the biggest packs and should play the big lads all the time and make the teams work.

Be brave Mr Agar you will not be given the time you had last season.

Are you saying that everything Long does is repeatable by practising it during training ?
