We’ve had an influx of 7? players, an unsettled pack and spine, 4 games into the season and posters are talking about “ if the club folded it wouldn’t bother them “ FFS get a grip. IAKOW

But the biggest problem is that we see examples of similar, or even worse tackles, and nothing is done or said about them. There was even an example in the same game?

I keep referring back to a challenge by Matty English of Huddersfield on Chan of Wigan a couple of weeks ago. The way English was staggering about there must have been a clash of some sort but the incident was never replayed on sky and the commentators barely mentioned it. It was glossed over for some reason?

ALL WE ASK FOR IS CONSISTENCY AND A FAIR DEAL.

I agree, this is exactly where we are at the moment. We just need to tread water until the Covid loan is paid back and the stadium lease resolved.

Ironically, an MP cited Gloucester RFC today at PMQs, requesting that all sporting clubs should have an extended payback period for their Covid loans. Sounded like the Sports minster was open to the suggestion. Not sure how far we are in repaying our loan, but it may be too late in our case.

I'd have oved him to come to us, the epitome of a warrior on the pitch and not only in name, but he'll spend more weeks watching than playing, even if he tones it down by 50%.

Marquee money for a 36 year old prop who main weapon is his aggressive style, no thanks, would rather spend that kind of money on a 7 or 13.

Our props are no better in terms of discipline...Ashworth, Pele, Sao and Esese all banned this season...and we're 4 games in

If he plays the way he does in Australia he be lucky to play 4 games .

And why we can't add another one, one who is on marquee money and will be 36. We have other priorities.

The only thing Smith has done whilst here is radicalise the meaning of on field dicipline.

I was happy when Smith was announced as coach but he is taking the team backwards and nothing i have seen on the pitch shows any sign of structure,in both defence and attack.

Catalan bombed several tries and we scored two lucky tries so the scoreline actually flattered us.
Whether you like to hear it or not the club is in a deep hole.
Waiting and hoping that 2 or 3 of the younger players will be the saviour of the club is not going to happen.
The only thing that will save this club is money to add three of four quality players to the squad so we can build a team around them and blood younger players into a winning team.
Its quite obvious that Adam Pearson no longer has the finance to be able to do this and make Hull FC an attractive option for top players once again.
An early challence cup exit,and a bottom 3 three end of season finish is all we can look forward too under this regime.
The club is Pearsons only income and he has to decide whether to keep things ticking over as they are and hoping his luck will change, or sell the club or part of the club.
It cant be called an investment for anyone as there is no return and trying to sell a R/L club that has no value would be very difficult

At the start of the week I felt that it would be a tough game but had some optimism we could get through with a win.
Now the likelihood is we've lost Ashworth, Bullock (definites) and Pele from our expected team. The area where we were probably stronger than Leigh has just been decimated in the space of 2 days. Unfortunately the optimism I had has now been lost and just can't see us getting on top of them in the middle, and if we can't do that then their backs might start to have a field day.

Amone will be a big loss for Leigh if he's out. Doubt we'll risk Pele but could really do with him back

Would another week really make any difference.Its a finger injury.
I would rather see him on the field and get some game time into his legs and body ahead of the Rovers game

I'd rather him play too. Just usually when Smith says they've got a chance, we tend to give them an extra week or 2. It's the same with Tindall and Scott

Tindall and Pele both in the squad along with Houghton, no Balmforth though.

No Balmforth, must be injured. Might aswell release him if he isn't.

If all the 21 are available, I'd put Charles on the bench for Balmforth from my original side.
