| It's the Sun, so likely to be wildly inaccurate if not just made up out of whole cloth.
Doesn't seem practical to have two SL clubs operating out of the same stadium. Sorting the fixtures out would be a major headache, to say nothing of the additional wear and tear on the pitch.
It would need permission from both City and FC in any case.

| Makes perfect sense to me, wonderful stadium, better it gets used more often. Too often tribalism stops sensible decisions.

| if kr move in i think the kc could lose all its credability.
the pitch will be awful, have 3 fixtures a week ( if fixtures turn out bad)
rovers fans will call it there home, in the west side of hull.
tbh i think we should just leave hull kr in that shi****e they call a home

| It wouldn't bother me if Rovers moved in for a spell, my only reservation would be once Rovers move in should their ground refit go totally titz up then how long before merger talks rears its ugly head.

I am sure they will have a lovely chat
Hudgel "Alight Assam, can I give you back this £1m you loaned me to rent the KC"
Allam "Too right you can Neil, but remember this is not a loan repayment, its a separate rent agreement."
Hugdel "Oh, Assam, you are such a goof friend, to let us use your stadium"
Allam "I know, Neil, I am good. But the best bit is....I DONT ACTUALLY OWN THE STADIUM!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA"
The Sun has a reputation for a certain level of quality for a reason. This is just an other example of why.

| Let em come then when its their home game we'll fill the north, west and south stands. Their attendances would drop even further.
I think its quite funny really pride of east hull playing in west hull.
like my old man used to say "bugger off up your end"

And how much extra would that end up costing us, if we didn't have Hull City's contribution to the KC upkeep?

| Three teams playing on that pitch would hammer it, there would need to be an extended period with no activity whatsoever, just to give the grass a chance.
It would end up like the days when Les Clarke's mate dumped a load of "topsoil" on the Boulevard. It turned out to be clay, so his mate suggested adding some sand to the mix. Unfortunately the sand came straight off some beach and was full of broken shells and hadn't been sterilised. We had a treatment room full of players with septic, festering cuts on their legs.

| Clearly its a wind up.
After all, Craven Park will be much better than the KC by 2015. Hudgell will have been knighted, Phil Lowe et al will repay the money they took from the sale of the old Craven Park, and KR will have won Superleague with Craig Hall man of steel and 54 tries.

How would it lose all of its credibility?! That's a ridiculous statement.
There would very rarely be 3 fixtures a week. The pitch is only awful because football is played in winter. In summer, the pitch will be fine. And very very rarely would there be 3 fixtures a weekend. The football team already play at least 23 home fixtures. 26 home rugby fixtures is a fair comparison.
If it somehow manages to bring down operating costs (thus making things like tickets cheaper), I'd be happy for them to move in.

| This is what I posted on their board about it:
Talking from a serious standpoint, there's been talk between Pearson and Hudgell about working closer together. You do wonder if they could broker some kind of deal that would have them both getting a cheaper deal overall. You'd think the operating costs of the stadium would come down having three clubs there.
Then when you think of things like the possibility of double-headers for some of the lower supported games like Catalans and London to save money (as well as create a bit of atmosphere in one of the more dull fixtures of the year) and it could work out pretty well for both parties.
Yeah, I know there'd have to be some logistics to sort out like who gets priority where, season tickets, etc. but they aren't exactly unsolvable. 50/50 on the corporate sections. East Stand pass holders for one club get the upper tier of the West, South Stand pass holders for one club get the North Stand. Two double headers a year means both clubs have fans moved at least once. Two games for the price of one and a full house for a usually dead game or two.
As for merger talks, mergers are only for teams that are struggling. If we're both doing well in the same stadium, why would the RFL want two of the better clubs in the league to merge? What would your license grading be if you was at the KC? They wouldn't want to lose a highly placed club.
At the end of the day, I'm an RL fan before a Hull fan, and I think if the move is better for the game, it would be great. I'm not one to cut my nose off to spite my face. It may help Rovers a lot (even if it is temporary), but Hull should be looking to see what such a move can do to help them in as many ways as possible and if it can help us cut costs then we should be in favour of it.
