Oh no, I get what you were saying. In fact I doubt from what he said that he did give them rollicking, sounded more like a metaphorical arm around the shoulder to galvanise belief. Whatever, there's definitely been more belief in the squad since the Murrayfield debacle, which points to some good man-management somewhere along the way.

Reading between the lines and taking into account various comments I think there was a big 'clear the air' event at some point following Murrayfield. Seems to have worked a treat.

Hull of 2006 were one of my favourite sides to watch. Big tackling and ever bigger drives. However your two weeks against Leeds this season puts doubts on a trip to Old Trafford.

However I doubt many of you will care because this is a big improvement to the uncalled dross that you’ve had to put up with as fans for so long.

Please re read some of my posts of last week etc when I stated that all the negativity by some so called fans on here was in short ridiculous given that we are only just beginnig the run on to the business end of the season.
We are just getting all our injuries back now, will shortly have all but one back training again , have turned over saints AGAIN and possibly 12 points on the books from our next 6 games which is definately achievable which would leave us sitting right up there amongst it all ready for our next defining match against Wigan at home !!
now all the moaners stop whining like silly girls and ride the wave like the rest of us and get behond the boys for gods sake!!

Correct, in some ways I'll be far more impressed if we can back this result up with a convincing win against Salford than I am with beating Saints in itself. But let's not think about the next game too much now, there have been far too many lows in recent years to not savor this for a while!

Agar layed into them a bit and the senior players backed him, getting Long and Fitz back has also helped.

Some of our second string players are not as good as some like to think. Last night the senior players were awesome and did all the things necessary to win the game. The exception to that is Houghton who is developing at a rapid rate this season. Get our best players on the field and we can play at a top 4 level. Play with our second string, particularly in key positions, and it doesn't matter who the coach is we will struggle. The current recruitment round is critical for continuing improvement. Wish Ticks would sign but not looking good the longer it continues. We need Fitz too. No disrespect to Washy or Whiting, but take Fitz out of last night's team and play either of those two at 13 and I doubt we would have won. It's that calibre of player we need - nothing less.

I don't think the character needs questioning tbh Dave...it takes some serious character to win like that against Saints, I think/hope we win, though Salford are starting to hit some straps so it will not be an easy game, however if I walk away no matter what the result and feel I was entertained like I was last night I will personally be more than happy...

Character definately needs questionning after poor displays at Crusaders and Salford. Against Saints we showed great character. We now need to prove we have the character to want to demolish the lesser teams too.

Certainly a great comeback last night, one thing ive noticed in the past couple of games when weve got the win, at the final hooter the team seems to genuinely celebrate - As if belief has been installed back into the team.

See how we go next week before saying season changing game.......we owe Salford for the fiasco at the willows and like to stick it up them just because i cant stand Steve Simms and the bolloxs he comes out with after the floods we had.

The team have set themselves a very high standard with the Saints performance the challenge now is to perform consistantly to that standard.

Absolutely. As fantastic as it was last night, to lose v Salford after several disappointments against lower teams already would almost put us back to square one.

HKR : Win
Wigan : Win (Point to prove again like last night)
Quins : Win
Crusaders : Win
warrington & Leeds depends on what walking wounded we have at that point.
I am happy to say we will be top 3 at that point! and momentum in our favour for the play offs... a good Cup run for both Warrington or Leeds is vital to take their focus away from SL and give us a home tie in the Playoffs

if we can get 7 wins from those games which is possible then id be happy
