Richard Horne has (a lot) more good games than bad ones. Thorman does not.

Thorman tried which is all you can ask - he is not a quality player but credit where credits due.

As long as he puts in effort he will get my support (would not give him a new contract) but he has now not got to stop the effort he has put in.

Thought Thorman played pretty well tonight, even attempted to take on the line a couple of times.

Unfair, I think. He's done as well as anyone this season and particularly looked good at FB.

Our only try was from his pass to Tickle. I'm not saying he was outstanding, but I don't think anyone was! Nor do I think anyone was terrible or 'very poor' either.

Just not good enough.

Thorman's kicking game was much better too, although Horne's was poor. Horney back to fullback for me, with Motu as utility back on the bench, until he gets more match fitness.

I thought Thorman played well and showed a true test of character to come back after the stinging critisism and embarrasment of being brought off last week.
He wasn't helped at times though by our flat attacking line and lack of 2nd phase attack which saw him stuck for options at time.

Guess it depends if he was as poor as Thorman was last week, really. Did he have to be taken off at half time having conceded 18 points?

thorman was average tonight which is way better than he was at leeds. horne was pretty poor

Same here, thought he did much better but needs to back it up next week at Wakey

It was obvious that Thorman was putting every effort into his performance tonight. It didn't really improve his execution, but he was trying.

Why, therefore, hasn't he been doing that before, especially at Leeds?

One of if not our best player on the night.

Still has to put in a minimum of that kind of performance in every game for the rest of the season to even remotely have a case to stay on though.

Thorman tried hard and couldn't be faulted for his effort. He played better than his half back partner. At this level you have to do it week in week out though not just as a reaction to some balls up the previous week.

Thorman and Thackray best players tonight. Burnett first hour or so did good but just tired.

Horne was very poor.

If Thorman played like that for the rest of the season well worthy of a new deal for a year as back up.

What class was that then? kicking out on the full, dropped the ball twice, obstructed his own players twice and missed more tackles last night than Thorman. And don't even mention the goal kicking.


If Long had been playing for Hull last night he'd have been slated for that display.

I'm not a lover of Thorman but I thought he had a go last night and if he (and Horne) had more/better options in regards of support players etc we'd have had a little more success.
