So you don't think the club have brought Hall on as much as they could ? The facvt they play him in every position but the one he is preferred and have not in any way helped work on his weakenesses suggest to me he has not had the attention he should have.

That aside, I don't necessarily think we do need new centres. Yeaman, Turner and Whiting are all quite capable in that position. If a Gidley or a Lyon became available, then great. I think our priorities are halfback cover, a prop to replace Cusack and a winger if Calderwood is on his way.

Rubbish, he's had plenty of opportunities there.

I'd like to see Hall given a new contract, and only played at centre, if he can get in the team. Or, we make him a permanent winger, one or the other. Switching players around is not good IMO, I know you have to sometimes but as AA said, we are short of halfbacks and wingers. If Cusack does, personally, I don't think we need another prop, just switch a second rower (Lauaki) up there and be done with it. Moa has proven himself, play him first choice next year without fail. We could have O Meley, Moa, Dowes, Radford and Lauaki as props, that's good enough for me.

That is the problem, because some are unhappy with Agar they would sooner we were at the bottom and not in 4th, so it would support their constant whinging...some very weird fans

You are spot on. At the end of last season, if someone had predicted we'd be 4th, ahead of Leeds with 7 games to go (and having had our first choice halves available twice all year), they would have been met with the sort of derision that EXPRO usually experiences now. It's mad. But I think partly it's down to the massive hope and expectation we experienced in 2005/6/7 followed by the unbelievable crapness of 2008/9. We daren't believe like we did in 2006 as it just ended in disappointment and it's easier to expect and predict defeat and avoid disappointment. That, plus we've not been really convincing in our performances.

Of course, some people just enjoy a really good moan.

That's accusing you of trolling for saying that Horne has been crap since 2004, that Moa offers nothing, and that none of our centres 'have a clue' about putting our wingers away.

Which out of the 3 they is only really the Moa one I have got wrong...but at the time it was the fairest assessment to make without the specs on.

That's a matter of opinion. Kosh has addressed the 'Horne has been crap since 2004' argument many times (and quite recently on another thread) so I won't go over that again. I'd say your assertion that our centres "don't have a clue" about putting their wingers away is patently ridiculous. You could argue that it's an area they might improve on, or that they need to put them away more frequently, but to say they "don't have a clue" is just plain wrong. In fact, I seem to recall Yeaman setting up a very good try for Hall only a couple of weeks ago.

Either way, your recollection that I accused you of trolling because you said we needed new centres was way off the mark.
