A great post, with a whole lot of valid and sensible points. I would, however, say that on the other side there is also just as much problem with people being attacked for their negative comments or their motivations for making them, and also a certain amount of ridicule. Some posters try to be open-minded but are portrayed as getting a kick out Hull doing badly when they express concerns. There are those who always see the bad, granted, but the lines are being blurred and many being thrown in with that crowd unfairly.

This board is quieter purely because people are getting past caring and finding better ways to spend their time. That's almost certain to remain the case until a big change happens at the club, many fans are just too disenchanted to be easily won back now.

That explains why the club haven't confirmed anything. I guess Seymour is happy with the deal but there are some i's and t's to be dotted and crossed?

I do enjoy this forum and I will continue to do so. I can choose as an adult to ignore comments or certain posters or I can challenge and debate with them. The Mods are just doing an unpaid job on behalf of the site to police whats posted. As I see it everyone is entitled to an opinion, we live with freedom of speech in our land. If we debate all well and good, if we are abusive or libelous then expect your back doors to be smashed in by a Mod.

I think at 1700 hours today we should all embrace on RLFORUMS and do an John and Yoko bed sitting type, Love, peace and flower power.

I think the RFL and UKBA have done a fair bit of work between them, especially after the various embarassing c0ck ups that have occurred, FC are probably just covering their backsides before comitting to anything.

I presume once player and club have agreed terms they would apply straight away. Especially after recent years and players having visa problems. I would also expect a clause in any contract stating that if a visa is not granted then the contract is null and void.

Didn't I read a few months back that the RFL have finally fallen into line with other sports like Ice Hockey and Speedway and are working directly with immigration on visa approval and expedited processing.

If they want him over before Christmas, no need to do anything till September/October tbh.

I reckon, as Standee says, they'll just be checking things out now to make sure there's no surprises when the application goes in.

There was a recent agreement between the RFL and UKBA that was supposed to bridge the gap in speed of Visa processing between RL and most other sports. I think part of that was some clarified guidelines for the clubs.

Excellent post and imo this is more of a reason fans [imight[/i be staying away rather than anything to do with the was the moderators run it.

That said as moderators we have to accept that it has gone this way as many fans feel so fed up with certain things at the club namely Agar. We can't ask posters to be positive or negative we just have to moderate what people discuss. We do try to keep thread subjects together though so we don't have too many threads discussing the same thing.
