Westy is our link to the fringes, Abdul can play a bit of his role but not for the full 80, he maybe should have started had 20 mins then come on last 20-25 to create the link again. But like you say it's a win, & in a way it was good to come through in the end, despite our ill discipline & force passing, that's what frustrates me.

Listened to some of it. Sounded poor again, but at least we found a way to win, which often isn't the case in these tight games.

Not written off the top 8 yet but I'm struggling to raise any enthusiasm for the games. Tonight will buy Radford more time, but really it should be another black mark against his name, far from convincing.

On the plus side, no matter how bad we play we will never be as bad as Rovers were tonight. I can't remember a more spineless first half performance than that.

Like you said it wasn't all off him, but he's smart enough to see things & create when the opposition are tiring, it's what all good pivots can do.

He seemed to take an age to award Sa's try. I was sure he was looking for a reason to disallow it but in the end he didn't have the nerve.

The announced attendance has nothing to do with tax. The figure must include and pass holders who aren't attending as there was no way 9300 there tonight

Alot less there than last week and they give the same attendance as last week more or less . Worst Ive seen south stand .

Pearson confirmed to the mail last week that complimentary tickets and unused corporate tickets (aka the tickets the SMC have to buy from us) are included in the attenedence whether they turn up or not, I suspect they also count pass holders who done attend, which around us is an increasing number.

We where lucky to win tonight, shocking in the attacking twenty with our halfbacks looking lost at times and Salford where up for it . No doubt we will have the spin brigade out in force spouting the garbage about being "back in the mix"



Gates are dropping and will continue to drop further , unless something gives soon you will only need one maybe two stands open next year

Tala could be a weapon in the centre with good ball. Great strength for his try. But if we're gonna be so poor with ball in hand I'd be happy to see him back on the wing. Miss his returns n fast play of the balls from them
Also I understand the howarth signing within a squad context. But he shouldn't play unless totally necessary. N right now it's not. I wanted sa in Centre. Abdull at loose n whiting at 2nd row. Think we'd have had much better balance

Before the game, and after last week's utter debacle, I asked for effort and enthusiasm as an absolute minimum. I believe that was there tonight along with a glimpse here and there of what could be. Lineham's try for example was pure class and would have been lauded if scored by top 4 contenders. We were weak up front without Paea, Westerman and Ellis and it showed but at least we stood up and were counted and in the end that was just about enough. Special mentions for Watts, Feka and particularly Stuart Howarth who I thought had a real dig and epitomised what you can do if you're not the most talented but give it everything you've got.

Sneyd's kicking was a bit better and actually forced some repeat sets for a change but he still doesn't commit defenders enough. I'm afraid Houghton's passing was regularly rubbish and together with a number of wrong options taken is continuing to be a contributing factor in our struggling "attack". It's got nothing to do with how long he plays but rather just basic skill and decision making.

Can i just say what a great stadium youve got my son loved it.
