I'm guessing the inference is that he didn't categorically say no that the answer is yes.

I like Tom but if they pay us 200 grand for him I would snap their hands off, I'm not sure Lancaster is the answer, he needs to learn how to tackle, but Naughton looked good on the wing. Get another really good centre and move the binman back on the wing.

As Jake implies, our wingers are mostly used to run the ball out of defence and don't get much of a sniff in the opposition 20.

It wasn't the end of the world when Briscoe left and it won't be the end of the world if Lineham leaves, although I'd rather he stayed for another couple of years.

If he does go that leaves us with Talanoa, Lancaster, Naughton and Michaels.

Talanoa is going to be around for the next couple of years but is his future at centre? Lancaster is a great prospect but I'm not sure he's ready to play week in, week out yet. I expect Michaels to be released so we'd better extend Naughton's contract PDQ.

Doubt Talanoa will stay at centre.., we're in the market for another centre.

I like Tom and would rather keep him, but can see the thinking it this, if they can get a decent fee (over 100k), also his and Micheals salary cap can be used elsewhere.

Naughton will be one winger next year I'm sure about that, so we'd need to sign another and should be able get one that offers better value for money than Lineham.

We will also have Lancaster and Talanoa if needed.

We said the same about Briscoe, we've managed without him, life goes on if a player doesn't want to be at our club then we thank him for his efforts wish him well until he plays us & move on, someone's loss is someone's gain.

Lineham is a good winger his defence is suspect at times but it would be a shame to see him leave ,however Naughton and lancaster are capable of taking his spot.My big concern is Paea because we have still to see him sign when we were told he would be signing soon.

Rumours are that Monaghan is off to Catalan. So lineham would be a direct replacement. I dont know about the Lineham signing but the Monaghan rumour has come from a very realiable source
