We beat Warrington at home last week, not away. I love comments like the above and I hope the players feed off things like this. A big problem with Hull is that you are not a top 4 club at the moment yet comments like this makes it look like fans think they are. We finished above you in the league last year and bar Saints on Monday it's been a poor start to the season for you.

I don't expect to win tonight as we do struggle away from home but we have half a team back from the Catalans game on Monday so we'll certainly give you a game.

I don't make predictions or make statements like above but as a club, widnes is a team we should be aiming to beat, likewise when you play us at your ground.

Maybe you should read the other widnes forum and note that your fans seem confident of a win and are saying the same the above poster put

Why is it when ONE or two fans say something like that then ALL fans are thinking the same?

So we have fans expecting us to win and here's you expecting us to win. What's the problem??

It shows just how far we have gone backwards as a club when we are not confident of beating a team like Widnes at home.
That said our performance at Saints was a lot better as we moved the ball about quicker and some of the dummy runners did their job.
Feka got stuck in for a change and although I am not a fan of Howarth we looked better with him at 9 as his passing was sharper then Danny Houghton so I think Radford will go with Howarth again tonight.
Cut out the penalties and keep Talanoa at centre to Naughton see nothing but a win tonight.

Tonight's a tough tough game. I'm worried. A lot is always made of fatigue by playing monday after friday/thusday. But this week's games are usually the poorer quality games due to knocks on top of knocks style fatigue. It's only 4 days since playing a massive physical saints pack. They're bringing in 6 fresh players in. Good dangerous players some of them who's last run out was a great win v wire. Think we've got a hard nights work ahead. I'm of the opinion that any1 who thinks we should easily be beating a team with such advantages and keeping in mind who's still out for us is being overly optimistic.

Fair points I'm guilty of generalising here which I shouldn't have done. It just seemed like a big lack of respect (from 1 person) regarding 'teams like Widnes'. We've come a fair way since our first season back when everyone smashed us to pieces.

Hoping tonight will be a good game regardless.
