Ben Galea should have done a hell of a lot more to get out of marker and knock Shaun Lunt down. He just stood and watched as Lunt pushed Chris Green aside. Galea was poor all night. He ran one line, admittedly which we scored from, but he offers nothing. Everything we do is so lethargic and our attack has not improved in the past five or six years. I still like Peter Gentle and I trust him to turn things around but his post-match comments are the same as what we hear every week from him.

Galea was one of our better players IMO

it will help us to get Ellis back and running his lines but its not going to change the fact that we are so slow to get the ball through hands!
would be nice to make a thew breaks now and again as well. its agonizing to watch at the moment we just seem to let the better teams just keep piling pressure on until we eventually break down. we are really struggling to get a roll on and keep teams pinned in there 20 don't know how we are going to change that with the pivots we have tbh. just keeps showing every week that we need a classy 7 with pace!!

Hull played very well, and gave the Giants a good testing time tonight.
Play like that against most teams in the league and you will win.
You have to remember that we have a very good defensive record and Hull got over for 2 tries tonight which is no mean feat.

Ive got a new name for us, Hull Forever Cack as thats how i currently feel about the team. Absolute cack.

I don't think we do attack too differently now than under Agar, all teams put the same set plays on. The difference lies in the speed and, as you say, the execution.

Good things happened around Westerman, yet nobody went with him as support, only Whiting wanted to offload and our kicking game was terrible.
Everybody pulls their weight in defence and we're excellent in this department, they must annoy themselves at this, surely? If we had a decent kicking game and any kind of clue in attack we'd not have these 60 minute performances as we'd already be well in front.
Until we sign a SH things will never improve.

Thats what i thought, and from a blooming Huddersfield fan!!! If Gentle sorts his ball players out then a full strength Hull team beats a full strength Huddersfield team every day of the week.

Huddersfield's first try, yes Green got caught out but Ben Galea should of done a whole lot more from square marker. He just let Lunt passed him

galea is like a snail in attack and defense everything slows down when he gets it. tickle and westy need to be in 2nd row next week and galea can keep the bench warm for gazza ellis

Galea did play ok but that one error cost us a silly try. Luckily enough he redeemed himself with a try himself.

But i do agree with Westy and Tickle next week with Whiting loose man.

yer galea has not been the worst player this year but its showing how much we miss a strike player on that left side like manu able to make them key breaks and offloads instead of the run get put on your arris play the ball that we are seeing at the moment

Because Gentle offered Ben a deal he couldnt turn down so dont attack the player,attack the coach !

Galea's fault for the 1st try, although Green missed the tackle. Green was the 'A' defender who's man is the 'A' attacker which in this case is the prop, his man is never the hooker. The second marker should fill the gap and slide out to prevent the scoot which galea doesn't do, hence green has to change direction to affect the tackle. Poor marker play

Your forwards really played well, had good go forward and was tough in defence. But as you all know I believe it was your halfbacks that let you down again, off the back of the forwards they should have really created a hell of a lot more! Holdsworths kicking game was abysmal, I lost count how many times he put the ball dead in goal and who's tactic was it to kick high to a former full back in Murphy than kick it high to a pint sized Mcgilvery(sp).

I think it's fair to say Holdsworth wasn't 100%.
