Too many people want to ignore this and believe that the introduction of an ageing half back will suddenly turn us into the harlem globetrotters of the RL world. They are very wrong. tansey and fitzgibbon won't make much difference either

The problem is we have a clueless coach. The quality of SL this season is very poor and with a decent coach we'd comfortably have been top 6, probably top 4. We have lost plenty of games by small margins which would have been wins under a better coach IMO. Good sides are well drilled and it becomes 2nd nature on game day. We look like we don't see each other between games

Isn't that an indication of how bad a decision it was? Let's be right about it, Motu, whilst being a good squad player for the club has never come even close to filling Shaun Briscoe's boots, which is what he was supposed to do.

Blatant bad business by the club is seldom forgotton by the fans. However it came about. It is unfortunate for Motu but if he'd been the 'better' fullback some on here touted him to be this wouldn't be happening would it. He's a victim of circumstance and his own mediocraty. It happens.

As is usually the case. One mistake, again, seems to be the basis for attacks on him with all his good work being ignored. Ah well, maybe one day some will see that there's more to playing fullback than catching the occasional kick.

Maybe fitz will run those lines for us and I've seen tansey 1 or 2 times this season and is always on the shoulder looking for an offload.

We'll soon beat that out of him - I'm sure he'll get the message after a couple of games of 5 drives and a kick that FC don't do offloads.

Judging by the dumb nature of our play I'd be surprised if the players knew how to spell it!

local boy,prince richard.fans have decided that he can't do any wrong,unlike motu,so it doesn't matter how many c**k ups he makes and how poorly he is playing at the moment,they will always blame someone else.

Horne gets plenty of criticism on here and has done for years. The difference is that he's never been blamed for a fan favourite leaving the club.

You say that like it's a bonus if they can do it. I'm no Motu basher, by the way, and I think he's a good player overall. I don't think he's a first choice full back, however.

The point is, a top full back will maybe let one or two bombs a season bounce, not one or two a game. I know full backs need to be more than safe in the modern game, but they do have to be safe.

Agaist Leeds I would shake things up a bit in the pivots and play.

You cant have a FB who cant catch a high ball, Horne isnt producing the goods from halfback.

I agree but with Thorman at 6 and Berro at 7.

I'd rather not have Thorman anywhere near the side TBH. If he [idoes[/i play we're going to have to work out how to protect him in defence, because Leeds know they can just run through him at will.
