The poor grasp of spelling and grammar is unprofessional, I agree with Standee on that. I just don't really see that it's worthy of such a big fuss over them not stating his age.

His age is largely irrelevant, but it would have been nice to read how we could accommodate him under the various rules.

It's always a "just enough" approach with FC, and it's annoying. But I will be honest, the day the grammar and language on the website is our ONLY problem is a day I look forward to!

As for reading how we can accomodate him, I suspect with the RFL's rules that by the time FC finished writing the article explaining it, he'd have retired.

Without having seen the kid play, if he is as big and as mobile as people have said he should be played in as many positions as possible at first while he is young even if the long term plan is to play him in the front row, he could learn a lot of skills this way rather then just been used as a battering ram straight away, Souths are playing Sam Burgess in the back row even though they have been under pressure to play him at prop, but this is the right approach in my opinion as he can still develop his skills even futher even though its pretty obvious he will end up as a front rower.

No doubt Premiership clubs will have passed on him if he is his work ethic aint good and he is finding himself coming off the subs bench.

Andy Farrell failed in RU as far as i'm concerned, especially in the back row positions. Doesnt make him a bad RL player.

But we are talking about a young lad who has only really made county standard by the age of 19(so I read on here and not in the FC article, in where his age should have been mentioned)and he has moved to a game in where the skill and fitness levels are so much higher.

I think he will find it hard to adapt and make the grade but I'm sure he will give it a real go.

You're possibly right although the two games require very different attributes in all of the pack positions: his height/weight and speed will probably be his most important attributes if he is to play prop.

My point in the original thing about Farrell was to not judge someone in a new sport based on performance in a wholly different sport. Maybe league will suit him more.

You know what, the kid is still young and may or may not make the grade. We don't know how he will go or what position he will play etc etc.

I dont think you can blame the Hull fans for wanting to discuss and get information on somebody who may be an exciting signing in years to come. My criticism would be with the club who by headlining the signing on the website have put immediate pressure and spotlight on the kid. It is something that Hull do a lot.

Announce yes. Headline no. It just puts undue pressure on a kid who hopefully will turn out to be a good player but who is only 19 years old, has never played our game and with a strong wind behind him is probably a couple of years away from being ready for the demands of Super League. It wouldnt have been the way i would have done it.

All theyve done is announce it. I dont see it as headline news. Doesnt bother me either way if i'm honest what the club has done about it.
