Wonder if he'll stay on as assistant coach? He seems perfectly suited to coaching. Is he likely to want to stick around in Hull after the end of this season if he had a job?

That was my thoughts, seems him and PG have a good relationship and respect for each other.

Sounds like he brought a great attitude and mental toughness to the team, which can't be a bad thing.

However I do think he has tried to push his body a year too far.

His wife is telling people they are going home, so don't think he'll be on the coaching team for us next year.

Missed him tonight he at least has broken the line in the past. I thought Tickle, Westerman, Pitts and to a slightly lesser extent Ellis just didn't run hard enough and fast enough tonight.

Thought he had his bad games and good games. Will miss his defensive work however i feel his better days were behind him.

Hope he stays till end of year just to teach the youngsters a bit or 2.

Agree, always rated him at Rovers, but to be fair signing for us was a bridge too far. Couldn`t understand why we signed him in the first place, and I don`t mean any disrespect to him in that statement.

A rovers legend and a great bloke on and off the pitch,no rovers fan would begrudge you getting a retirement handout from pearson.There's plenty of others at hull getting handouts for contributing a lot less than you did.Good luck with what your retirement brings you.

A great ambassador for the game. An asset to the Super League and the NRL. He's given the fans at all clubs he's played for some great moments. Thanks mate.

With all due respect, he did not give us any-thing special at all, he may well be the nicest man in the world,

but we got him to better our team, and in this he failed, we should never had signed him AND i said this

before his first game for us, if as people are saying his experience, knowledge, et cetera, would rub off on

the squad, that does not seemed to have happened as well, we are clinging on to the 8th spot !!!!!
