| Hmmm. Latest accounts show the SMC made a loss of half a million last year and is "reliant on Hull City AFC (Tigers) Ltd and Allamhouse Ltd for financial support". Wonder what would happen if the SMC mysteriously "went under"? Contract between City and FC and the SMC null and void, presumably. City might say they're not interested in a new contract for the KC tenancy with us there, for example, and pay the Melton card again unless they get the freehold. Got legs, this theory.

| The time has come fellas to stand up against this spoilt dictatorial prat. I and my kids spend nothing in the stadium. A blanket ban on all sales by FC fans is the first step in the right direction. The city fans are up in arms over refreshment prices already so lets join them. If we don`t stand up now who knows where it will end. I can`t help but think and believe that the red dwarf is linked into this somewhere, vice president like.

Simple solution: If the SMC go down the pan, the council invite tenders for a new company to operate the KC. Of course the Allams would be prevented from tendering, having just overseen the failure of the previous operating company. I doubt there'd be a shortage of interested parties

not really well I don't know but I would guess he won't let it go bust at present its not in his interest if he did Cod ed is right the Council would have to step back in and get someone else to run it. As for a certain person being involved I doubt it why should he be when the new head of the SMC is I believe an associate director of the Dobbins anyway.

| The whole thing sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
How about the council give Allem the KC and give us Costello on the proviso Allem funds its redevelopement as our new ground. Sounds mad but we then all get out of this happy

Think our tenancy agreement is with the council, as owner, not the SMC. I.e our right to be there. But the conditions of that contract are managed by the SMC. Any renegotiation of the agreement would be subject to SMC agreement, for example, but they can't chuck us out.
I think.

To have any chance of recouping his City investment he has to. It's as simple as that. And that's why he's like he is. And anyone who gets in his way will be done away with. By financial means, of course.

Aye, and as the council will receive even less of the SMC profits into their coffers (i.e. none) than those that were deplored in the Yorkshire Post over thet last 2 years even more bad publicity will fall on the council, perhaps forcing them to reconsider their position re the stadium.
Surely not a contrived policy by the SMC/City owner to make the council look foolish and force them into a renegotiation? No, surely not.

The thing is, public assets have to be sold at market value. Anyone party to a decision that loses public money can be held personally liable under a surcharge. Can't see any politician wanting a 35m surcharge.

The council would also look foolish if a Super League club which had a tenancy of a "community" stadium found itself homeless.

Not if the Allams negotiate a referendum, and the public agree.

I'm not sure that's correct. I doubt the council can ignore the law regardless of the result of a referendum.

A referendum would exonorate any individual from personal prosecution.
