Why do people on this board get gunned down for sharing what theyve heard about our club?

because it's usually made up garbage, especially when the poster only appeared 8 days ago an his "source" is his girlfriend who can obviously tell someone's nationality by how they walk (or some other such amazing power of deduction?)

we have a rumours thread anyway, so why a new one?

Bit harsh imo considering all these rumours must come from somewhere/someone with a connection. Be nobody left at the clubs if "RIGHTLY SO".

I'm sorry, but isn't one of the main points of this forum to be able to share information with fellow fans? Yeah, I get that not all of them are true... but people have a right to voice what they've heard if they believe other people will be interested.

Because in just about every case, its been made up. We already have a thread for these, its called Rumours.

Yes, we do. It's amazing how many people think [itheir[/i made up dog is somehow deserving of its own thread though.

because we have a thread for it, and it's a post made up by someone trying to look "informed" when they, on the balance of probabilities, are making stuff up.

I'm sure this will be locked, and you can go back to being 18 and knowing everything, I remember those times well.

Haha I'm just confused as to why having a thread outside of the rumours thread is a massive crime? (Yes I am reasonably new to this forum)

because every bollox thread means the threads about why we're really here, FC and the game, drop off the board, the moderators have to read pages of bile and it gives the idiots from downstairs ammunition.

The whole idea of a rumours thread is to keep all the unfounded speculation and made up cack in one place. If every person that heard a new rumour (or, as in this case, an old rumour) started a new thread, the board would be swamped. It's quite obvious when you think about it.

But there is a rumours thread, for, believe it or not, rumours (putting FACT after a post does not change that it's a rumour), so that's where they go.

The OP can put his post there, but other members have the right to shoot it down. That's what happens.
