Now all we get are vehicles moving out of their parking spaces and queing up at the bollards



This issue gets discussed at nearly every disabled meeting and we get told if you see anyone moving out of their bay before the 15 minute rule then take their bay number and report it to either the SMC or Sue Smith at the club who deals with the parking bays. Apparently we have our health and safety certificate on the 15 minute no moving condition and if we are shown to flout it the SMC will have that revoked and no one (not even the owner) will be able to park around the bowl.

Those of us who have parking bays around the bowl generally know we are not to move but people and their cars are like sheep. Once they see one car move, nearly everyone follows even if its 5 mins after final whistle



By the SMC's own rules Mr Allem should have his parking pass revoked. We are threatened with it, his car is no different to the rest of our cars.

Are the SMC too thick to use their own resources to identify the miscreants, preferring instead for someone else to dob them in?

Surely the perimeter is covered by CCTV and there is a time stamp on the copy, also if they can't match a parking bay number to a registration number, they shouldn't be in charge of anything.

Not sure they can. I have a parking pass with a number but never park in the same bay and I doubt the number hanging from the mirror can be seen on CCTV

They don't hold registration numbers because the bay is for the person/corportate, not a particular car. I know if I bring up CCTV I will get the same answer as I do when I mention the lighting around the perimiter; there just isn't any money available from the SMC to do it.

They might just find the resources when they get slapped with a similar writ to the one Allam will surely receive. I imagine they'd also be liable for not enforcing their own safety rules

Lets hope so, and his parking pass revoked. There are plenty of deserving people who are waiting for a perimter space.

Me and my grandad park outside the ticket office in the disabled places and we see people leaving in the cars all the times. sometimes just driving into the crowd. should be stopped.

Does the rule apply just to cars parked around the immediate perimeter or the car parks as well?

The council issued safety certificate and the 15 minute rule apply to the perimeter road around the stadium bowl. The car parks are just that and cars have priority (when sensibly driven of course). HTH.

In All Fairness though sometimes you do get a group of fans who take the micheal getting out because there drunk and start on the drivers of the cars. and thats when they move off.

I must say in all the 10 years of parking around the bowl I have never witnessed anyone drunk having a go at anyone parked up and if it happened to me I'd rather clout the drunk idiot having a go rather than move off and have the potential to mow down hundreds of people



At the end of the day, people move off early because they are impatient, simple as.

I have seen the stewards stop a few, even standing behind the bay so they cant move.

Problem is its 1 steward to at least 10 spaces so if they block one another jumps out.

Did lose my rag with one driver and a steward last year because of this, as the driver was pipping his horn and giving me some grief for walking in front of him

As regards the '15 minute rule' then yep he is in the clear in that case.

A lot of this is common sense though, you wouldn't drive down whitefriargate or walton street when Hull Fair is on.

TBH it's quite a big design flaw that pedestrians and vehicles aren't seperated e.g at different levels as they are at some other grounds.

When Allam gets go ahead for the Sporting Village, there will be a roof put on the KC and a multi story / helipad on top
