Yep they moan when we don't make the playoffs and moan when we do as FC 'won't do anything anyway'

I fully expect to be involved in week 3, then it's anybody's.

I agree. There are only two trophies you can win in Super League (leaving aside the minor premiership) but the way some people go on you would think that the other 12 teams are failures.

In each season there are only going to be two (or maybe one) teams that win a trophy. So you have to judge success by other means such as getting to finals, league position and occaasionally beating teams who are better than you.

Being realistic I don't believe we are going to get to the Gf much less win it, but I think we can finish top 5 and win at least one play-off game. Whatever happens this season has already been a damned sight better than last year.

If everyone looks at some of our performances this year we have played some good plays. 5 down the middle still gets played I won't deny it, but this year when the tackle comes in the difference is we have been looking for an offload. Big difference. No doubt we miss longy's kicking but on the whole we haven't done that bad. Looking at some of the kick and chase, against rovers and quins for reference we were right down their throats. Forcing errors. Wigan may have played some quality rugby this season, but with the right players on the park and playing our strengths we got to be in with a chance.

Would help our big pack and our "immobile" wingers like Briscoe.

In all seriousness if anyone thinks it's pointless making the playoffs then WTF is the point of any of it ?

My suggestion would be to wait until the playoffs start and choose the most likely team (Wigan this year) and support them for 3 or 4 games. That gives you the best chance of supporting the winning side. Then do the same next year and change teams if necessary.

I cannot see us beating Wigan, Saints, Wire or Leeds in a one off, but then again we could pull something off, like the Saints games.

I could see us beating anyone else in the eight.

We will win our remaining three games IMO and reckon if we have longy back and manage to keep key players fit in the next three games we will go on to win it!! Positive thinking yes i know but it beats been totally negative like the majority of people on here................................ C'mon you U'LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAA

We've got some big game players that's for sure. Berro, O'Meley, and Fitz have all played origin and I believe have all won the Aussie GF (not 100% sure though). Yak has played in 4 NRL grand finals and has also won the premiership. Then we have Yeamo, Calders (not sure if he'll be back), Longy, Horney, Radders and Dowes who have all competed in at least a CC final and a GF and we've also got Tickle, Houghton, Briscoe and Manu who played in the Wembley CC final.

I personally don't think we'll get to OT and win however I think we'll put up a much better fight of it than most people are predicting.

Where, in all probablility, will the 6th placed team visit the week after beating the 7th placed team?

it's going to be difficult no one can say it's not, but we all know how good we can be at full strength, the team know how big a deal the playoffs are players like fitzy, ogre, berro and longy won't need telling what needs doing in these kinda games

So you're saying the level of difficulty in winning a play-off game is the same now as it was under the 6 team format?

The big picture is we have to beat whoever we eventually get and I believe we could beat any of the other teams on our day and with a bit of luck it could and hopefully will happen.
Every game will be like a cup final to everyone. So it doesn't matter who finishes in what position we still have to beat them.. anything can happen..

Not sure our defence is strong enough to beat teams like leeds,wigan + warrington but glad were in the playoffs after 2 shocking years

think all our lads will show well but the experienced heads in the camp will keep the lads in check.
