Maybe so...but the thing is the bar has now being set and players do represent different countries, so imo Manu should be considered if he now qualifies.

It shouldn't happen and not because he plays for Hull either. Clint Newton is the same and i wouldn't want him considered for selection either.

I do not necessarily disagree...but the fact remains it is happening..will be interesting to see if he is in with a shout as he has been outstanding so far this season.

totally agree with you philb, its a load of bollox this residency/grandparents/friends/mothers cousin lark, when you start messing about letting overseas players play for GB makes a mockery of the game!

This is the thing that really sticks in my throat about it all. Besides the issue of whether or not it should be allowed, in many cases people ignore the reasons as to why the players want to do so in the first place. Often it's because they are being ignored by their main country. It's insulting IMO, and how on Earth feeding from cast-offs will help close the gap is beyond me.

I'm personally against it anyway, even if it would be for someone as good as Manu.

didnt Jarryd Hayne represent Fiji and is now a regular for Australia and state of origin. If someone is good enough and qualifies to play let them whats the point in missing out on a player (not just Manu anyone) Austrailia and New Zealand do it. I think the Quota system is all wrong anyway what with all the loop holes they should just say 17 of the top 25 earners in your squad (salary cap) should qualify for great britain

Love Manu but it's a no for me. That said the coach should exploit every opportunity he can, the aussies do.
