| Quote ="PAUL M"Not sure where all this 'Berro to centre' stuff comes from tbh. He has lost the extra yard of pace he used to have and would be wasted in the centres imo. Realistically the only position that would need covering would be hooker and Houghton is a far better option off the bench than Berro is so I would go with Houghton off the bench.'"
Not sure about th pace, we have rarley had chance to see it over the last 3 years, I would see him as a Gidley type centre, creating a lot for his winger and scoring a few himself from close range.
I see centre as our weakest position (apart from the wing, but there is nothing we can do about that) at the moment, we are good at hooker, Horne should be back soon so SO is covered, so putting Berrigan there would improve the overall balance of the squad by putting a bit of class in the backs.

He doesn't want to play centre. He specifically came here to play hooker. And I'm not convinced that asking Houghton to play the full 80 minutes week in and week out is a good idea. If Houghton is going to be spelled then Berro is the man for that role.

Houghton needs to start, he is our best hooker at the moment and deserves to start after his recent performances, have ing Berrigan on the bench means that he can cover a number of positions if needed.
Personally I would start Berrigan at centre and have Turner on the bench, cant see that happening though.'"

| Cant see why people are looking at having Hall in the team, i would give Tuffour a shot at it. Lets face it defensively he cannot be any worse than Hall is and if the rumours are true about Hall going to Rovers then we really don't need to be risking playing him the team.
Houghton had a cracker at hooker last week but if we go down the route of making him play the full 80 each and every week he will sone burn himself out. So for me Berro to start with houghton replacing him during the game as i think we get more out of him coming off the bench than vice versa.

definately agree about Hall. i think Tuffour is worth a shot. we'll never know how good he is until he's given a game in the 1st team. is he especially quick? even if he's not, he's a dedicated winger which Hall isn't.

I seem to recall the tactic of giving game time to an unproven youngster backfiring spectacularly on you guys the last time we played

| Fridays game is very important and we cannot afford to be complacent going into the game like we were at the willows earlier on in the season. A win could put us in joint 3rd and would give us great confidence going into the Huddersfield game, on the back of four successive wins. If we don't turn up, Salford will beat us and last fridays game will have counted for very little, therefore its imperative that we get the two points this week and push on towards the last quarter of the season.

It would be but it's true. The team were awful but Broughton had Lyne is his pocket and kept killing him everytime they were one on one. Lyne looked good with the ball in hand and almost broke through a few times but in defence he was left wanting.

After what Broughton did to him at the Willows?
I'd sooner see us play someone like Dowes on the wing then give Bomber the ideal gameplan before we even kick off.

| Hull FC head coach Richard Agar has been forced into three changes for this weekend’s clash with Salford.
With Mark O’Meley facing three weeks on the sidelines with a calf tear, loanee Paul McShane returning to Leeds and Tom Briscoe on international duty, Agar’s selection problems have been eased by the return of two key players.
Shaun Berrigan (shoulder) and Epalahame Lauaki (calf) come back in, while youngster Danny Nicklas makes up the 19-man squad having made his senior debut against Wakefield back in April.
SQUAD: Berrigan, Burnett, Cusack, Dowes, Fitzgibbon, Hall, Houghton, Lauaki, Long, Manu, Moa, Nicklas, Radford, Tansey, Tickle, Turner, Washbrook, Whiting, Yeaman, The 18th Man

Burnett in to cover Meley, Berro in to replace Mcshane(although Hall took up that sub spot) and i assume Hall in to replace Briscoe.
Bomber will target Hall thats for sure.

Yes however Lyne was not helped with the abject performance from the rest of the squad. Had the rest of the team played better he could well have had a better game. We have seen Hall play ok at times due to our side being on top and very little pressure on him.
Very few options open to Agar on the wing though.

At last someone talking with some commonsense. Most people seem to think this one is in the bag. There is no room for complacency or we will all be going home very disappointed on Friday night.

Hall MUST be played on Yeaman's wing though so that he has some cover of his defensive crap-ness.

I would go with that but i doubt it will happen.
As for taking Salford lightly, i doubt any of the supporters are, yes they will be confident of a win and rightly so. However we have all seen Salford beat us in the last couple of seasons so i doubt anyone will be putting their mortgage on a victory.
