One will have to be English, and I'd hazard a guess that if a player leaves out of Moa and Lauaki it won't be Lauaki.

Lauaki has been playing well since his move to prop, and I think I'd keep him for at least another year, leaving us with Ogre, Moa, Radford and Lauaki to play prop as our starting 4, with Adlous, Pearce and Bowden possibly getting some game time throughout the year at prop.

Back row we will have Manu, Tickle and Westerman to start, with Burnett coming off the bench, and Kent and Cunningham and maybe Whiting in desperation in reserve.

We're sorted for Hooker with Houghton and Obst to be the two in the 17 and Newton coming in as third choice.

Halves I would give Horne a deal for a year on reduced pay as back up, and sign 2 new half backs, one from Oz and one from the UK, no real names though. Also Nicklas and Williams will be a year further on in their development.

Three Quarters we will have Briscoe, Yeaman and Sharp to start with Whiting and Turner senior reserves and Lyne and Crooks a year closer. We do need to sign a new right centre though, hopefully Gleeson if he can get his head right.

Full back I would sign a new bloke, and have Whiting and Jack Briscoe as our reserves.

Well, if they all go we'll have only 2 players 30 or over. Clearly this takes us further away from the winning Warrington model.

Player recruitment of the right kind involves the coach. If we mess around for another two months with Agar we'll end up looking for a coach when the coach should be signing players. By the time we have a coach even if it's Bennet everyone will be signed up elsewhere. And so it goes on. We've become the Trotters of SL "This time next year Rodney".

It's nothing to do with getting on his back, it's that even playing at his best he isn't an ideal use of a quota spot.

No chance in Sandow Dave.

I would look at Roberts though think he could get a new deal in the NRL.

Fair enough on Sandow, wasn't sure what the Souths cap would be next season.

Canterbury have signed Keating and Hodkinson so Roberts is not required.

If Sandow left souths he'd easily get a NRL deal.

Seymour could find himself looking for a club, I don't really know how smiths going.

I've only seen him play once but would Kieran Foran be worth a look at? He's only 21 and had a good game for Manly at 6 last weekend.

He's brilliant, Peter Sterling rates him higher than any other youngster in RL.

He won't be leaving the NRL for a few years yet.

He doesn't shirk in the tackling stakes either, he's gonna be some kiddy.
