I just really don't understand why Pearson spoonfeeding us some more specific promises was necessary before we'd believe he was serious, or why him doing so has then been given so much weight over his previous comments/actions. The top & bottom is Pearson wants to keep the fans & hopefully get more through the door. The gates are dropping due to poor cup runs and inconsistent performances,and he wants fans to stay the par for the rest of the season and hopefully attract more next season in order to do this he has to take drastic action which he did, he has basically reassured the fans that he will invest in the area which we need it most next season, basic business sense.

When he managed not just to sign but also persuade Gareth Ellis that Hull was the place to finish his career (potentially) that was when I realised that internally (not just what the fans were hearing) things were on the up. His hefty investment in the club's future reinforced that (the youth system). His pronouncement about halves therefore didn't come as a surprise welcome though it was. The problem is that some fans wont accept short term pain for medium-long term gain. But that's OK because when things go on the up and we're challenging for cup/league they'll flood back as they always have. AP knows that too.

IF Taylor has said he wants to join us, you can imagine there is a good chance it will happen.

Well as no one on here knows what visa he has, or what's been applied for, it's anyone's guess. The impression I get is that he's applied for a visa on the basis of his relationship, so it's not a work visa that would tie him to us.

If that's the case then any contract is irrelevant to the visa.

If he gets that visa he's free to work anywhere.

If it is a work Visa, is it right that some sort of signed paperwork is required to prove the employment is there?

If it is on the basis of his relationship, you'd have to think we'd be incredibly stupid to be working the case on his behalf without some sort of guarantee he's ours if it is approved. I can't see Pearson being so naive, personally.
