Can't see it myself, Gleeson will get much better offers than us for next year. If he signs for us long-term it's so he can muck about with his old mate Longy for a year or two.

Been told by a young player that Gleeson has signed. dont know any details but the young kid is gutted that he is further away from first team now more than ever.

I'll be amazed if any NRL club offers a 30/31 year old Brit, slightly past his best with baggage, any deal nevermind a 2 year one.

Why? just a young lad who plays centre. I am not interested in posting wind up's, i am just passing on what he said. Not sure if naming him would get him in trouble or not.

To be fair no young player should be complaining about someone of Gleeson's class coming in, it's seeing people like Whiting and Turner played out of position ahead of him that he's got a right to be upset about.

He is a young lad breaking his balls to get first team football, wether Gleeson is a good player or not, it means he is even less likeley too. of course he will be upset

Well Morrison should concentrate on doing well for Doncaster, if he's good enough he'll get his chance.

but we have plenty of cap space available and someone like gleeson dosent comearound every day andd lets face it our right edge is poor and lacks any creativity so a deal till end of season would be great and see how he goes before a longer contrat is given

I really cant see him going to the nrl at this stage in his career but some on here might know more about it then myself.

We've played for years with sub standard outside backs, if indeed Gleeson as signed and this kid is indeed ready for the first team then let him prove himself on the wing outside Yeamo, just like Briscoe has.

I thought Gary Connolly and Paul Newlove was both more than half decent at their peaks. Scott Gibbs and Jonathan Davies played pretty well too.

That's an exhaustive list, especially when Davies was more a 5/8 and Connolly a full-back

Connolly was more of a centre than a FB, he played much more at centre than FB.



I would add Senior into the centres, in his prime was a fantastic centre who could have done well in the NRL.

Senior is, always has been and always will be a fast lad who was not big enough to play 2nd row. It's come to something if we're happy replacing creativity with brute strength
