Does anybody know if this is right? Was told this today. Ganson (or any VR) isn't actually capable of "having a quiet word" in his ear because of the technology, i.e. the ref has to open up the mic. feed.

Touch judges are the sole judge of touch and touch in goal, hence the following from The International Laws of the Game:

Section 16.

Paragraph 10 - Accept Touch Judge decision . The Referee shall accept the decision of an official Touch Judge relating to touch and touch in-goal play and to kicks at goal.

Wigan was the better team but when are we going to get at least 1 top class referee for the big occassions who doesn't make such big mistakes it makes our sport in the UK look amateurish.

Also Sam Tomkins what is he doing sticking his fingers up at the leeds supporters that is inciting and should result in a ban.

I doubt he'll get more than a fine, Wigan like Brisbane in Aus are the golden clubs of rugby league and the authorities wont touch them.

He will never be classed as world class in my opinion until he's a game breaker at international level and proves himself in the NRL.

Average final, but in my opinion Super League is not even close to being as good as it was say 3 years ago so i'm not surprised.

McDermott was ingracious in defeat, as was Tomkins in victory, justifies my dislike of both teams. Wigan were way the better team yesterday, nice to see L**ds on the other end of forward passes and cheating though.
