Any reason why you didn't go for the standard saying of 2+2=5?

Is there a standard saying? No reason i used 1+1=3 other than to get the point across. (ive heard people say 1+1=3 more than 2+2=5)

Exactly. 2,3,4 and 5 have gone to players with international caps. People saying that this is some kind of snub to Hall are loons.

Although only one has an international cap in Hall's position. And that was a few years ago.

Of the 3 players, Yeaman is the senior player by some margin. Not saying he's shown any form at all since 2007, but he's on a GB increment and has played rep football and a gazillion games for FC. FACT.



Briscoe is part of the international elite train-on squad, has signed a 5 year deal and is clearly a player the club intends to build a team around in the medium term.

No need to get huffy because Hall hasn't got a 3 or 4 shirt. He'll get plenty of chances to earn a new deal. According to Gwilym he's a winger anway.

The Hall thing's been done to death anyway. IMO we're making a mistake not starting with him and Briscoe in the centres, but I'm sure that won't be the biggest cock-up we make next season.

Nope. But most overseas players are on fair wedges, I'd assume, and Webster had played 8 internationals for NZ when he signed for Rovers. At a guess £100k?

I am going to stick my neck on the line and say that Jake Webster is Rovers highest earning player.

Webster is deffo on more than Vella. In one of his more amateur moments Phil Lowe told me how much Mick Vella was on. Newton and Dobson have signed new contracts this year but they wont be as high as Websters. Galea will be no-where near.

Did he tell you Websters too then for the comparison?

No but somebody with a large collection of shoes told me Webster was our highest earner.
