Especially if he is only coming on a one year deal then I'd rather we spent that time blooding a youngster who will be cheaper and will benefit us in the long run.

Yeah im moaning but not at the signing of Phelps who i was all for us signing over the last two months. My issue is how late in the day it is and dont start on the Sammut bol lux as he was never coming anyway. Weve gone majorly barking up the wrong tree as to which player we want which has left us shorter in staff than we needed to of been.

If you know this so well then tell us why?

Yes Paul you are right people moan if we sign someone and moan if we don't and some people think you can sign someone like Benji Marshall or Cooper Cronk 3 days before the season.

Oh you all have a good laugh at Rovers and their on going attempts to get Mason over here then praise the club for signing a player who is now going to have to go through the same visa process that Mason is going through. Could be a couple of months before Phelps even gets here and by that time we will probably be a massive mess with injuries

Mason has had a visa for ages mate, its money issue's with Rovers thats why he is sat in Sydney.

Sammut was very close so it was hardly barking up the wrong tree. Westerman was the same situation and we eventually got him. Maybe we did not move for Phelps until we had explored every possibility, which to me seems like a very sound idea rather than just rushing straight in.
