£16m, probably about 1/3 of what is needed overall, can see each SL getting £500K (depends on the application process and criteria), RFL to administer ot along with Sport England, so Leeds my get £3m as they didn't side with the rest of SL for the split...

| Brilliant news
Well 500k is a larger amount than Pearson tried to loan. So hopefully go along way to securing our club. Im sure us fans can raise more if needed.
And i think the behind closed doors , pay per view idea will take off personally .

| More from the RFL at 10am .
It will be loaned out on a case by case basis .
The financial strain on the SL Clubs will be greater than the lower leagues.
Seems nothing for Catalan and Toronto.

Reading what the PL are considering I think it will too. Also like what I hear about the Leigh chairman's idea of multiple ga,es on the same day for Sky. With nothing else in their schedule (live) of note presently we could go Friday, 4pm C1 game, 6pm SL game, 8pm SL game, same Saturday and Sunday. Set one stadium up to cover 4-6 weeks (have to be somewhere not used for football), not sure about the logistics for 6 sets of players, officials etc.In principle a good idea, free to SP holders and Sky subscribers, pay per view for the rest?

| Yeah i think it will be along those lines, u know sky already do something similar with football whereas you can select what championship game you want to watch by using the red button, they usually do it on the nidweek games.
Doing that with a pay per view option on which game you want to select, then selecting the team youd like your payment to go to wouldbe brilliant.
I think a sticking point could be like youve touched on, how do they set it up, do they carry on letting all clubs use there own stadiums but play behind closed doors, or do they do a magic weekend setup, with one possibly two stadiums selected to host the games.
Well as long as theres no hiccups with the application process for funds and we dont get short changed alls good, surely we l recieve what we need to carry on.
I think depending on what we secure could may well have a bearing on what contracts get given out.

They shouldn’t be entitled. The loan is from the British Government.
This money will help , but other means of fundraising may still be required.
It’s a loan , not a handout.

| great news from the government regarding the loan, well done our local mps(others from other rl towns/cities too) and the rfl board. will keep many clubs going until we are allowed back to watch
keeping off twitter/facebook on this subject as per norm the selfish attitude of many so called rl fans are coming out regarding who deserves to get a helping hand and who doesn't!

| Sounds like the RFL will be taking back control of SL.
I assume the government loan is to the rfl, and any loans dished out will be repaid to them and not to the government directly.

| People are in cloud cuckoo land if they think new signings are going to be that easy.
Expenditure for the foreseeable future will be set to an absolute minimum for a lot of clubs.
High earners wanting to leave will be music to AP's ears, so to speak.

| Im thinking if you look at Houghtons wage as well as Shauls, then ask yourself do we have adequate replacements on a lower wage you could argue yes.
Johnstone has looked the part and was very unlucky to be replaced by Houghton when he came back.
Jake Connor is a very effective fullback, as well as young Connor Wynne
I think sentiment wins out personally and both will be kept

Exactly, people seem to think today’s loan announcement is like winning the lottery!
It may soften the blow of things to come , that’s all . There are still some hard financial times ahead for Hull FC,and the game in general.
This has shown ,how poor financially RL is .
6 weeks without a game , and Clubs are close to folding.
People need to realise how tenuous our situation is .

Rubbish, most teams nearly go 6 months without a game every season, 12 pages of people flapping without any facts, the government are dishing that much money out, a lot of people will be better off after all this mess, no doubt the rich will get richer! Free money 80% of wages getting payment on the furlough scam, it’s average joe that will be paying for this, for years to come

Apart from 5 months income from season pass sales, sponsorships, shirt sales, etc, you're probably right.

Why have are we all getting our season pass money back? That definitely won’t help, I’ve been buying the merchandise still, and I bet a lot of others have to, it’s common knowledge we don’t make much from drinks food etc, I’m doubting sponsors have asked for money back. Whole lot of flapping with no facts, let’s wait and see without all this wild speculation. Your an idiot, always have been, along with your fellow flapper barista. Let’s wait and see, instead of your constant shiiiite

No I’d say more concerned, which they have every right to be. But trust me as a business owner, hudgell and Pearson will get a slice of the pie in these government hand outs, and with the rfl securing some money, I think they’ll be just fine. It will be us idiots still working, putting ourselves and family’s at risk that will be paying the price to come. So apologies if I don’t share your flapping for wealthy businessmen and professional sportsmen, they’ll be fine and so will the club, because like many have said, we are the best supporters, and we’ll do whatever it takes to save our club if it came to that, but it won’t

If you wish to label yourself as a "flapping idiot" you are free to do so, if you detest the success of Hudgell and Pearson so much then please, don't feel obliged to keep contributing, either financially or on these boards. If Government intervention is "pie in the sky" then we can safely assume none of your employees are furloughed and you are all alright, perhaps you should change your username to Jack?
You clearly have deep seated issues beyond rugby league, and I have no desire to know nor understand them, they are personal. But I would ask you drop the abuse and pointless negativity, it isn't healthy for anyone, in any circumstances.
