| shocking performance, backed up with shocking attitude that stank the place out! 16-6 up we thought we would stroll it....well done salford, far quicker, better and played as a team! hastings ran the show from half time

| another abysmal home showing, salford looked far fitter, more composed, well drilled than our error strewn rabble, they played with about 50 speccies watching on,we had 11 000 and couldn't be d.good job we have a decent away record or we would be scrapping it out with the dobbins.

However nothing about any of his failings
Played Tuimavave who was not fit and carrying an injury.Hence Buchanan on the bench giving us a lightweight bench
played both Bowden and Westerman in front of Masi and Jack Brown when both are struggling for form.
Shauls form dropped off a cliff.
Satae came off the bench in the first half and only five minutes at the end when the game was lost.Whats that all about?
He should have a least had one spell with Taylor
Ar the moment Radford is Teflon but it wont last forever'"
Completely agree with you there and maybe complacency has set in with Lee due to his close relationship with Adam.
Hastings and Jones aside I would not have any other Salford players in our team, yet they play entertaining rugby and play as a team.
We should have beaten them with our comparative teams but desire and structure were evident in 1 team and it certainly wasn't ours.

| I have said for years that we badly need to bring an Attacking coach in. All of the coaching staff were grafters as players, none of them know a good attacking play.
Sadly this season will go down as one that got away. Had we not wasted time and money signing squad players like Nzougou, Langtree and Washbrook, and actually replaced Watts with a big money signing we might have ended up at Wembley and be in with a shot of Old Trafford, and even if we still ended up trophyless you'd have said it was a good year.
Instead its felt like the class of 2016/2017 running of of steam, playing inconsistently, hovering around the playoff places but never sticking their head above the chasing pack and looking like contenders
We're getting as bad as Warrington for the 'wait til next year' hype and I'm as impressed as everyone is with our new signings, but you could have played all the new names today and it'd have added more 'grunt' but it still.wouldent fix the lack of attacking direction and woeful passing skills. A lot of work needs to be done this Winter.

I'll say it.
I'd like to see a new coach with fresh ideas this winter.
These performances and calling out of the players is the only consistency we have and yet nothing changes or improves.

| So which blokes did he mean? As most on the pitch are here for next season apart from westerman and paea
I dont think Sneyd and Connor work as a partnership, its almost as if the they are both waiting for the other to step forward and take charge or control the situation at times and it ends up looking really disjointed with Ellis recieving the ball when the team are set for a kick. Problems at the play the ball, or sneyd and connor not communicating?..
We massively feel sorry for ourselfs when we make a few mistakes and almost use it as an excuse to give up.
Voices in the pivots seem none existent, i spoke of sneyd and connor, but shaul was really bad today organising the defence. Jackson hastings ran amok he had 4 defenders just watching him at one point. With no orders given to close him down, the one with the kick was terrible nobody spoke or took charge, just an all round lack of communication.
Whos captain as nobody looked like chewing a few up behind the sticks, all stood gazing at salford with hands on hips. I saw connor annoyed and that was about it.
Agree with the satae usage, it was bizarre, first drive was strong, then we just didnt include him, again are there issues at the play the ball, as time and again i think wrong options are picked, i saw satae having to duck out the way when it was obvious he should of recieved it. Gave him one carry in his first spell, then came on for the last six minutes, bizarre
Need a very vocal leader , and connor back ro right centre asap

| I said a while back season would end in a whimper and we wouldn't finish in the play offs and got scoffed at. Thank god I'm in italy so didnt have to witness the dross but tbh its dross every game. Next year we have on paper a better side than 2016 but whilst initially optimistic I'm now starting to think we wont get anywhere near 2016

Unfortunately can’t argue with much of the above if at all any of it. For a team with so much to play for before kick off to put in that sort of performance is an embarrassment and unacceptable. It was shambolic to put it mildly and would have made the keystone cops look organised.
We didn’t look interested for most of the 80mins, we were slow in defence yet again just standing and waiting and then couldn’t even Bring the Salford players to ground or stop the offload and surrendered metres so easily to the opposition once again. Our ball retention skills leave an awful lot to be desired yet again, along with our ability to fail to put opposition under pressure at the end of our sets by the usual brain fart, poor option, poor execution and lack of structure or ideas.
But it’s not like it’s a one off so as bad as the players on the field were today what the hell do they do in training as the same just continues.
I don’t think there were many positives you could take out that game other than Satae looks like he maybe a decent addition and they have two weeks to sort that out.
Thought Paea, Carlos and to an extent Taylor showed up but as for most of the rest the less said the better.

| To be honest, we’re not worthy of second place. Think it shows the quality of Super League that we were in with a shout of it.
Fair play to Salford, by far the better team for 65 minutes. Thought Paea showed up well for us though. Maybe the only one. Salford played a good, fast style of rugby. They are a club constantly losing their best players and yet still compete. Kudos to them and their coach.
There’s been a lot of big recruitment done for next year, so the expectation levels at Hull will be raised, not least from the owner. Don’t think the maulings we’ve had at home this year will wash next.
Just glad we aren’t playing Saints next week. We’d be looking at a defeat of 2015 proportions.

But I understand your frustration at our home form, it hasn't been pretty. But with the way the competition is won now, you just have to stick in there and get it right when it really matters, it's no longer about who's the best over the season.

Watson is not my boy but with lesser resources and continually losing his best players he does an admiral job.

I on the other hand am only commenting on tonight's performance as most people are until you come up with that cr@p.

Correct. As mentioned, every team apart from Saints is nearer the bottom than the top, and we're joint 2nd on points. We'll miss the play offs now IMO - as Radford conceded it's now advantage everyone around us. Catalans are probably done, but I think the top 5 will be Wigan, Wire, Saints, Cas and Salford as I can't see us winning more than one of our remaining games.
Our home form is poor. However chicken and egg it is the fact remains our vocal support is better away. Not that that's a hugely determining factor, just an observation.

Lots of small reasons in my opinion.
We dont train there, I believe the club dont even get to do a 'captains run' there so we dont get as much time on our home pitch as other teams do. However same can be said for teams like Wigan and Huddersfield.
The ground is too big, so we struggle to generate atmosphere. My own observation is that our fans have got a bit 'cosy' in their reserved seats, they arrive bang on kickoff, and keep quiet all game. At other grounds most of the stadium is unreserved, you have to get their early for a good spot and often you end up near someone with some banter and new songs and this helps the atmosphere.
Everytime we seem to do a ticket deal or have a game with a bit of hype we flop, and that doesn't help grow our crowds. Quite a few new people around me today for example, and until halftime they would have felt entertained but that dire 2nd half and seeing thousands leave with 5 mins to go won't have them keen to come back.
Now that Away fans have moved back to the North stand, maybe time for the club to make the East/North corner unreserved again with cheap tickets
'Chav Corner' had its critics in the 00s but at least they made a noise. Turning down the PA before kickoff would help.also, its so loud you can barely hear the person next to you never mind get a chant going.

You can only wish.
I could go coach our club, I'd probably totally useless but because I was trying to bring success to the club I'd have your support, right?
Blind faith is not a virtue.
I wasn't actually calling Radford tonight (although I do think he's reached his ceiling with us) but merely commenting on how impressed I was with Salford and how they were set up and played.

| Was there at the KCondom stadium today with my binoculars out to see the spectacle of the greatest player in the world Jake Connor. But was surprised to see yet again him missing?? Was he sat at home furiously wnking to himself in the mirror again? Or was he out with the district nurses looking after the Uncle fathers and Sister mothers of Hull? Anyway good luck for next year xx
