We cant compete with NRL money but if he had decided he wants to come home and finish his career in SL then we are as likely a destination as anywhere else. I arent holding my breath, but it isnt that farfetched. It wouldn't be much more outlandish than when we signed Ellis.

Ellis was a shadow of the player he was in the NRL, particularly in attack, great leader though and tough in defence when he was actually on the pitch. I simply don't think throwing a big wedge of cash at Burgess either in fees or salary is that good an 'investment', would he do well here, probably, would he be worth the large price tag that he'd want even after busting himself up in the NRL, not for me thanks.

Burgess only signed a new contract a few months ago.

when Ellis came to us he was still an excellent player, a coup of a signing, a great leader but not the NRL level Ellis in attack we saw and thought wow.
What you choose to do with regards your attendance/support is up to you but ripping up your season pass seems a bit of an over-reaction.
Burgess won't be as effective/VfM as Ellis was if he ever left the NRL in my opinion
