I agree we need stability but that has to be with the right personnel in place. None of us know if radford is a good coach or not so backing him is a massive risk. If we were backing someone with a proven track record then it's a different matter

2. Let Smith, choose his own staff & his own coaching structure. - with no limits on staff budget.

I am amazed at the blind faith shown on here. This attitude that you can't have a negative opinion (I personally don't see it as negative. It a positive thought as we are not happy with what we see, because we actually care.) I will always support Hull FC and shout from the rafters about it. But the fact I want Radford either demoting or sacked does not make me a bad fan. I've seen it all since 1976 FFS.
But to blindly carry on as if all is well in the world simply because it's hull FC and he's from Hull is stupid.

The coaching set up to me appears to be a joke. Wtf is Cooke doing video analysis for a start. We should have a FT guy doing that who concentrates solely on HFC. Why do we not have a full time set up like Wigan Leeds Sts etc? It's just Radford and Last with Cooke pt. It's cheap and inexperienced.
Wire had years of under achievement under various local hero coaches until Moran decided to invest in coaching. Pearson has to follow suit.

For the record the coach I really admire ATM is Powell at Cas. Working wonders at Cas with has beens never will bes and good potential. Precisely what we have. Anyone notice the difference! They are also doing it without their X factor player in Chase.

Now some of us are shouting for change because we do actually care. 4000+ don't shout they have simply left. That's a massive worry. I'm told AP isn't so bothered about crowds because of increase in Sky money. If that's correct then he is a fool. I am fed up of dross being served up to the faithful while they train well and promise us better. But clearly are delivering nothing.

I only have to look at Ben Crooks to see what Radford is doing to the squad. Confidence shot to pieces having been number 1 centre in the league last season. The only one responding is Shaul who I believe admires Radford and has done from a young age. That's brilliant but one in a squad of 30 is worrying.

Some of us saw this coming when Radford was appointed and further reinforced during pre-season.Radford seemed that all he was interested in getting one over Rovers and the other games where just fixtures that need to be fulfilled.
He's wasted half a season been totally clueless what his best team is and is no nearer than he was before we played Catalans.
I wouldnt be suprised to see Horne and Heremaia in the halves next weekend.

I've already answered that one earlier in the thread but I'd bring in noble now to work with radford and then I'd go out to Oz and speak to some proper rugby people about up and coming coaches over there

Correct about a smaller player squad, but they've got more back room staff than we have.

Come to think about it, I doubt any SL club, has a smaller coaching staff, than we have.

it doesn't involve a failed coach who only won by spending money, that is for sure.

Personally, I'd be going for Hasler or Kearney, give them whatever they wanted plus 10% for coming.

But I am realistic, neither would come, nor will top end players, our reputation seems to have gone, and how we rebuild it I genuinely know not.

We cannot do the basics right anymore. Simple tackling and passing is now gone.
Powell's Cas are nothing special, they just do the basics and don't panic.

Radford's relentless tinkering is the actions of a clueless man floundering for a solution.

He now needs to go.

I agree with Jake on his replacement. Is Noble the answer long-term? No, he's a dinosaur with old fashioned methods, but he could do a job until the end of the season. For 2015 go all out and get a top coach.

True, I posted earlier about the poor quality of our coaching staff. I meant more on the money supposedly spent on facilities and equipment.

Who's failed miserably? Nobles got a better win ratio than Radford or Harris

Kearney would be awesome, and being an ex player I guess there is an outside chance that he would be interested. Go to him with a bag of money and see if by some miracle he will take it. We talk about setting a culture at the club, he would be the perfect guy to do that. Even if he left us after 2 years I'm sure he would at least get the building blocks in place.

Read an article a few years ago, IF Kearney would be interested in a coaching position in UK.

He said He would never coach in the UK, unless , there was sufficient coaching resources at the club.

So, that rules out Kearney for us.
