It seems to me that yet again Ben Crooks has had a bit of a mare. Got bundled into touch on the short side first half cost us field position and a try. Poor defence when they scored the length from our kick then couldn't diffuse at the end. Goal kicking excellent but too loose in general play.

Supposedly. I don't know how much of the bullying tactics he actually uses, it's probably more from the media than anything else. However in my experience, in any walk of life, those tactics don't work. You can't intimidate someone into respecting you or wanting to go that extra mile. I know if I was playing I would just come away from training thinking "what a c0ck, it wouldn't inspire me at all.

That's Miller's/Rankin's call though I assume. Sounds like we missed an old head in Horne to me. He might also have helped us defensively and potentially not chosen poor kick options on their line as happened during the game.

We can all blame who we like, but the fact is the TEAM lost today, Nuff said.

People have short memories. Gentle did OK but his team was inconsistent as well and embarrassed the club twice in the two biggest games of the season last year.

That's why I would have played Whiting.

It's easy for us to sit here and play at being captain hindsight, so I wouldn't blame the players for declining 2 points because they are the ones out there with the best feel for what is happening in the game. My problem is the lack of willing to roll up our sleeves in defence when a big 5 minutes would have seen us in the hat.

Still seems that we are still not capable of getting the attitude & desire for more than one game. Disappointing even though we all knew Salford would offer mire than last week it's dumb rugby & errors that yet again are out failing.

I would play Whiting now anyway either him or Thompson in the centre. Crooks needs an extended run at a lower level.
