Joking aside we got what we deserved to ... nothing , only really Ellis , Westy and possibly feka n Thompson who put a half decent shift in today .
I'm disappointed and can see a few changes for next weeks visit from future wcc Salford , AKOW

I thought it could go either way today but was hoping we could scrape a win to garner some momentum
I had a decent wager on Widnes because the 14 point handicap start they had seemed very generous.
Unfortunately for us they didn't need any start.

I have no intention of mentioning those two games just stating a fact apart from your crowds (which lets not forget you live in a city a lot bigger than our town) we are by no means inferior. Now get over it you got beat no NILLED end of.

Agree Arundel had a decent game. Didn't think Talanoa was that bad overall, but a couple of errors were pretty glaring. TBF to Heremaia, even though he was pants today and is clearly not the answer for us in the halves, it's a little harsh to blame him as much as others for playing badly whilst out of position. He did produce some pretty poor errors, though.

I don't think we are either mate, we're a mid table club and will be for years to come. Far too many average players, rubbish halves and a whole team who are clueless and look stuck for ideas when plan A doesn't work.

The only player we have who one of the top four would consider taking is probably Lineham, but he's just injury prone. Shaul could turn into a right gem but is apparently prone to a right hissy fit if he doesn't get his own way.

Let's hope Harry Tyson Wilson turns out like he's expected to and does the business for Hull when his time comes.

At least we've gone from putting 72 points past them in the corresponding fixture last season to 0 points today.

Worst thing for me today was that widnes are far and away the worst side we've played all season. We could still be playing and they wouldn't have created their own try scoring opportunity. Even with a dire performance we should still have won by 30 points. Shocking

I thought that if we did lose it would be because we were steamrollered up front with the personnel issues. All things considered the forwards did OK. The backs were an embarrassment to the club as a group from 1-7 with some worse than others individually.

To be nilled AT HOME by a no mark outfit like Widnes is nothing short of an embarrassment.

It looks even more embarrassing when Rovers nilled a team ourselves on the same day.

forwards laid the platform, no backs to finish off their good work, well done our forwards, but halfs and backs were shocking seen better on a saturday afternoon watching local league rugby.

Indeed. Backs were a disgrace to the club today.

Being nilled at home to Widnes, their away form is dire.
They are OK at home on that 'plastic stuff' but I'm amazed at this scoreline.

Did you expect widnes to win easier ?

Of our 10 wins last season, 4 were won away (Salford, Wire, Saints & Bradford) & lost 4 by 10 points or less I(including Leeds) so to say our away form is dire is a little wide of the mark. We had 3 or 4 heavy away defeats last season and that is all.

Carry on underestimating us by all means. It suits!!
