the fans have simply had enough of the promises and false dawns, I had a lot of optimism when Pearson took over...but that is definitely on the wane now. Cheap inexperienced coach, cheap 'gambles' on the signing front, pass sales dropping...it aint looking good right now!

Good to know the players and radford have shown the respect to one of hulls favourite players,by a fantastic whole hearted performance against featherstone.I know its only a friendly but what a pathetic performance against a team a division below.
As a rovers supporter all I can say is sorry to richard whiting who is my favourite fc player and deserved so much better. A total embarrassment to the club.

didnt go so cant comment on the match itself, but to me its been a very dissappointed pre season, imo we have a very big match coming up against the cats first up, i always thought gentle should have been given another year but as always will give radford my full support, i really hope we get our arris in gear for the 1st match, a win and these friendlys will be long forgotten,lose and will start to wonder, still early days and will be cheering the lads on,

however, if the performances against Bradford and Featherstone are anything to go by, it looks like it could be a long hard season for our black and white neighbours.

When you have fev fans coming on here taking the p@ss, you know things are bad, massively disappointed, especially for Whiting, doesn't look good, in what seems to be the worst pre season that I can remember, not overly panicking yet, but the signs don't look good.

How much pre season has McDonnell (none?), Paea, Feka, Ellis, Houghton, Heremaia had?

Could have been a worse pre-season if we hadn't scored a last second try at Donny and rovers hadn't blown 2 or 3 tries in the first half.

all signs are that its going to be yet more drab, inconsistent rugby, and it couldn't come at a worse time for the club with the changes that are coming in.

I fear that we could quite easily slip back from being 6th-8th like we have been for the last few years, and slip to 9th-12th place. With the 2015 structure changes that would mean playing Championship opposition in the runoff, which will cripple the club financially (our budget is set up to be a top end SL club) and once your in that middle league of 8 it'll be hard to get rid of the malase and get back in to the top league of 8.

When we lost Green and Watts early on, our pack (on paper) looked very vulnerable, and I don't think Radford would have wanted to risk any more injuries in a "friendly".

If we slip 9th-12th we could be in danger of playing our 150th anniversary season in the championship

We still had replacements on the bench and played with a decent 13 in the first half, to be down 24(?) 6 at half time was farcical.

The game wasn't lost at half time, but the team that started the second half was never going to win...

if we were winning at half-time and then went on to lose due to young players getting a run out I don't think the fans would have an issue.

its the fact that the same bunch of first-teamers clearly couldn't be bothered yet again, which is what we see year in year out and why we haven't been anything but mid-low table also rans for the last 7 years.

I'm not saying it was lost, nor that it is important, the manner of our defeat in the first half is.

yes, I believe we have several players who think they are of international standard that are only interested when we play the 'big' games and are completely anonymous when we play a lesser side.

Our form last July is a prime example: lost poorly at home to Wakefield, lost to top of the table Huddersfield but competed with them, then went to France and won a tricky cup tie, before losing to a poor Bradford team and then finally beating Warrington to get to Wembley. The players turned up for the games that mattered to them and lost the ones we would have been expected to win.

I went to support Richard Whiting today (and well done to all the fans who went)
all I can say is I was very disappointed in the ability and skill levels of all our players,
no idea in attack and no guts in defence
it's going to be a long hard season
good luck to Richard in his testimonial year
