I cannot believe people pay to watch that garbage week after week

Heavy handed stewards yesterday by all accounts

Heard something has happened yesterday over a banner?

Stewards tried (and eventually failed) to prevent a large "We are Hull City" banner from being paraded along the East Stand.

My son went to the game and said the tug of war between the stewards and supporters over the banner was far more entertaining than anything on the pitch!

i have seen a video of this on the video sharing site too. It seems that 95% of the people who get involved, singing City Till I Die - have no club colours and jsut seem to rush towards the 'tug of war' just hoping that something kicks off

Any displays should not obstruct/cover stadium signage and flags are not permitted to be placed on segregation netting. SMC reserve the right to remove any flags/banners on safety ground and any that are deemed to be offensive."

So show your colours, just not as big as the one in the pic, don't cover any adverts and if we don't like it we'll take it down.

I know, it really is pathetic what they are doing here.

for one, the whole 'bring a flag' thing was actually started on Twitter last week by a mate of mine who is part of the 'No to Hull Tigers group' who wanted people to bring as many flags and banners as possible with 'City' on in further protest to the proposed name change, the club seem to have latched onto this and tried to turn it around to a 'lets show our colours for the club' sort of thing but are also making the point on size of flag so they can stop any repeat of the large banner that was passed down the ground last week. Really is a joke, I can see there being even more trouble on Sunday if stewards start wading in again!

Stewards are stewards, they enjoy their bit of power on matchday.
